Scott Weiland To Pen Memoirs, Lenny Kravitz Boards the MySpace Bus, Damon Dash Owes Lots of Cash and More

11/19/07, 3:04 pm EST

  • Not to be outdone by his Velvet Revolver bandmate’s book Slash, Scott Weiland is planning to write his own autobiography. Weiland has already signed a deal with a publishing company and will collaborate with David Ritz on the memoir, which will not be called The Heroin Diaries.
  • Lenny Kravitz will friend-up with MySpace for a contest that will allow some of Kravitz’s pals on the social network site to hang out with the rocker on his tour bus during the trek for his new album It Is Time for a Love Revolution. Kravitz has 70,000 MySpace friends, which could get a little crowded, so only ten winners will be chosen. Applicants have until tomorrow to enter, so head over to Kravitz’s page for a chance at a seat.
  • Lou Reed will contribute two new songs, “Gravity” and “Safety Zone,” to an upcoming documentary called Nanking. The film examines the Japanese invasion of Nanking, China, at the onset of World World II.
  • It’s not often that hip-hop mogul Damon Dash and Velvet Underground member John Cale appear on the same bill, but according to the New York Tax Department, they’re both on a 225,000 name list of people who owe money to the state. Cale owes about $157,000, while Dash has shortchanged the Empire State to the tune of $2 million.
  • The battle between Prince and Prince fan sites may finally be coming to an end. Prince Fans United confirmed that they are in talks with the Paisley Park camp to resolve the matter in a peaceful, lawsuit-less way that will also allow the message boards to carry on. At least the battle resulted in one of the best Prince song in years.

Hi!
Without taking into account the issue of establishing a stone by God, which he won’t be able to pick up, how do you think, may be something in this world, what can God never see?

Scott was rather chameleon-like during STP’s early daze. First time I saw the Plush video, I thought it was another band. Nevertheless, Core and Purple were pretty dynamic albums.
