Peter Travers Video Review: “Beowulf,” “Margot at the Wedding”

11/15/07, 7:02 pm EST

Click above to watch Peter Travers praise The Squid and the Whale director Noah Baumbach’s latest, the misanthropic Margot at the Wedding (which contains a risky performance from Jennifer Jason Leigh), and the motion-capture marvel Beowulf, the olde-English poem turned outrageously entertaining and adventurous 3D film (which Travers says boasts an Angelina Jolie sequence that’s one of the most amazing visual scenes he’s ever seen). Read Travers’ review of Beowulf here and Margot at the Wedding here.

Angelina looks like a martian. She’s nuts, and soon she’ll be over! She makes fuckin’ movies that nobody wants to see! Why don’t you adopt some more kids and you can start a baseball team? Yeah, okay, whatever Angelina

He does a good job and he is right about movies he reviews. Whats your beef with a guy that reviews movies?

I love the “will have you jumping out of your skin and begging for more” line. Does Travers do this specifically to get his name on movie TV ads? Has anyone at the end of a movie sat there begging for the flick to continue? No one DOES THIS! Ugh. It’s such a stupid line.

I agree…Peter Travers is a good and honest critic.. calm down.
