The Swedish five-piece that promises to become “your new favorite band” at live shows is back with another album of tracks that turn up the volume on Sixties garage rock and Seventies punk. Aside from two Pharrell-produced songs, not too much is different on the Hives’ The Black and White Album, which means fans of the act’s consistently fun, brash and cartoonish sound will be pleased with their fourth full-length.
