Free MP3: Chris Walla’s “Sing Again”

11/12/07, 12:46 pm EST

Despite some interference on behalf of Homeland Security, Field Manual, the first solo album from Death Cab for Cutie guitarist Chris Walla, is set for release on January 29th, 2008, on Barsuk. Over the weekend, we covertly entered the U.S. Customs station in Blaine, Washington, retrieved Walla’s “suspicious” hard drive and smuggled it onto our computers so we can exclusively present Field Manual’s “Sing Again” for your free-downloading pleasure. (Actually, Walla’s people passed along the track, but we like our version better.) Is the song an upbeat, melodic rocker, or an audio document secretly promoting terrorism? Download it yourself to find out.

Well… Yes it is really quite lovely, but I still love Death cab and this doesn’t even come close to the beauty of their music…

i like this.
but still i like ben’s voice better, and deathcab as a group and not in peices

Jean-Luc Jawed | 4/16/2009, 1:08 pm EST

i agree with what most other people have said; it’s an amazing song but i still prefer dcfc as a band then individual atrists like this. The comes together so much better as a band!

The.Zombies.Have.Arrived | 5/5/2009, 12:23 am EST

Id listen to this if i got tired of Death Cab. No offense, its good, its melodic, its pretty, but their collaborative effort is more complete

jess kio | 5/9/2009, 3:27 pm EST

i like him. i love him and ben and support just about anything they do. i loved his old side project martin youth auxiliary as well.
