Photo Gallery: “John & Yoko: A New York Love Story”

11/8/07, 5:49 pm EST

Photographer Allan Tannenbaum documented a few days in the life of John Lennon and Yoko Ono in November of 1980, one month before Lennon’s death. The couple were emerging from a self-imposed five-year seclusion to prepare for the release of Double Fantasy, Lennon’s final album. Check out this gallery of shots — including photos from the video shoot for “Starting Over” — from Tannenbaum’s new book John & Yoko: A New York Love Story (Random House, out now).
