Led Zeppelin’s November 26th reunion concert has been pushed back to December 10th because guitarist Jimmy Page fractured his finger. The injury, which he sustained this past weekend, will make him unable to play guitar for the next three weeks. “I am disappointed that we are forced to postpone the concert by two weeks,” Page said in a statement. “However, Led Zeppelin have always set very high standards for ourselves, and we feel that this postponement will enable my injury to properly heal, and permit us to perform at the level that both the band and our fans have always been accustomed to.” Tickets bought for the original show will be honored on the new date, and refunds will also be available. This news sucks (especially since Page busted a finger in a train door in 1975 but soldiered on and continued to tour), but we’ve waited twenty-seven years for this show, so what’s another fourteen days? That is, of course, unless you already bought plane tickets and made hotel reservations.

Led Zeppelin is a fantastic band!!!
Long life to rock ‘n’ roll!
Blueslover | 11/26/2007, 9:28 pm EST
Hey guys, stop it. The concert is going to be incredible. Led Zep is THE greatest Rock band ever assembled. Period. They’re going to kick a lot of ass. Just wait.
So, stop all the stupid blah, blah and non-sense comments.
Blues-Rock again, conquering the world one more time. Cool!
Jay | 11/12/2007, 12:18 am EST
I bet Jimmy was playing Guitar Hero when he sprained it.
Rockk1000 | 11/11/2007, 1:56 pm EST
Im of the mind of a few others. This should be a pay-per view show for the rest of us.This gives a little more time to do just that. I would gladly pay to evev see a so-so Zep show. To all you kids… THEY GUYS ARE THE REAL DEAL!. LONG LIVE THE MIGHTY ZEP!
Marko | 11/10/2007, 11:03 pm EST
I’ll tell you what. You #%@&’s that have no respect for the greatest rock band of all time really have no clue. 90% of rock bands if not 100 are descendants of Led. So #%@& you all. AND GOOD NITE, because I will be there all the way from the states. I am sure that Led will care less what you have to say about them. They will be there in sound and body.
Peace Led Zeppelin

sorry to say, Siobhan, most people around here don’t. I like your name, it’s pretty.
Are you English, Scottish, Welsh, or Irish?

Doesnt anyone have a sense of humour anymore?
st.helen | 11/6/2007, 7:28 pm EST
Amusing - that photograph has obviously been digitally enhanced w/special fx. It’s not as real as you can imagine.
MM | 11/6/2007, 5:48 pm EST
Dennis A, may you be crushed to death by a falling rock!!!
unknown | 11/6/2007, 10:08 am EST
Wait you all expect them to play. Thats the funniest damn thing I ever heard there is no way in hell he can play and if you think you can do better then lets see you get up there and perform like Led Zeppelin. Just what I thought you can’t so give them a damn break….Led Zeppelin rocks for ever no matter what age they are but you all should be lucky they are comming back after the lost of one of the greatest drummers and friend, John Bohnam, so get over it….
martin jacob | 11/6/2007, 6:44 am EST
Would love just 5 mins with the the stupidly named “liquid feces” so i could knock him out. How dare he talk about John Bonham in such a disrespectful way.
What a muppet! Please just 5 mins.
Philip C. | 11/5/2007, 11:26 am EST
Why would anybody get their panties in a wad because of this photo? Come on! If you thought for two seconds that the photo was real, then I feel sorry for you. It was harmless, and I’m sure Page got a laugh.
Anonymous | 11/4/2007, 11:21 pm EST
Of course they’ll be ready by the 10th! That picture is a piece of crap.
God, if anyone knows whether this’ll be on tv, please tell me, I really, really wanna see this!!!!!!!!!!!
Julio | 11/4/2007, 10:03 pm EST
I thought that picture was real hahaha.
Give them a break. They’re expected to perform like they’re 40 years younger. ESPECIALL Plant since I’ve seen some recent vids of him and he seems to have lost it.
Bob W | 11/4/2007, 1:28 pm EST
Give it up already! Let the ZEP rest in peace. No more reunion tours for the money.
Pseudhorizon | 11/4/2007, 12:20 pm EST
Hello.
Excuse me, but on the picture it is not a fracture, but an amputation. Stop playing with our nervous system. This image is tricked simply.
therealTC | 11/4/2007, 12:07 pm EST
hmmm. i wonder of there isn’t some other reason.
Anonymous | 11/4/2007, 6:37 am EST
that picture is messed up !..wtf is wrong with rolling stone? so its another two weeks..big deal.the thing about this reunion that bothers me is, i have not heard anything about pay per view, or live telecast on tv. wasnt there over twenty million responses for the ticket lottery??? kind of makes sense to do it as pay per view for the benefit. duh…
GB_USA | 11/4/2007, 6:28 am EST
WTF…I rarely read Rolling Stone magazine and now, after seeing this grotesque fake photo of a GREAT rock legend, I will NEVER read Rolling Stone…
dnjohnston89 | 11/3/2007, 9:51 pm EST
This picture makes me sick. Not only is it extremely sophomoric of Rolling Stone to put up a idiotically photoshopped photo, but it’s pure blasphemy to portray Jimmy Page’s fingers in this manner. Fuck you, Rolling Stone, you disappoint me.
jkennedy312 | 11/3/2007, 3:12 pm EST
Is that photo real???? If so, Jimmy is still experiencing flashbacks of the drug daze. No one would be smiling and holding up a finger like that. Photoshop perhaps?
miccc | 11/3/2007, 3:00 pm EST
Plant should be given great credit for his musical integrity, meaning an endless determination not to spend the rest of his musical life taking a victory lap after Led Zeppelin had conquered the world. Page, every bit the equal of Plant in terms of sheer talent, the visionary genius that initially concieved of and guided Zeppelin, has devoted more of his time to preserving Zep’s legacy, ie the brilliant and all time best selling 2003 Led Zeppelin DVD.
Richard | 11/3/2007, 2:09 pm EST
In my opinion this is an easy way of giving me a refund coz they messed up the ‘rules’. There were no refunds originally unless due to cancellation or rescheduling. A lot of people got tickets through someone else’s passcode and the terms and conditions didn’t state that that was illegal until after everybody had spent their money. This way they (Ticketmaster and Harvey Goldsmith) can avoid a lot of bad press. They screwded up and they know. Page’s finger is fine. Led Zep are still the best but their name is now tarnished by Goldsmith et al.
DJohnston | 11/3/2007, 11:30 am EST
Does anyone else think that this picture is extrememly fucked up? Come on Rolling Stone, let’s give Jimmy some respect.
fuzzball | 11/3/2007, 9:50 am EST
Finger looks pretty bad to me. Not sure if he ever did much fret tapping or not though - so he can probably hold pick without index finger and mush onward. Three weeks doesn’t seem like a long enough time for that kind of injury to heal anyway. But …he and the other Jimmy are probably the two most copied guitarists of all. Would love to hear them together again.
Edgar Saume | 11/3/2007, 12:34 am EST
Give them guys a brake. They deserve respect for what they did. It´s sad that growing old is so hard in the Rock world. It seems that it´s not important to have been able to set then, the standard that have dictated much of what is being done today, and inspired so many.
Edgar.
P.D. Sorry, English is not my mother tongue. Long live the Zep

stratoblogster -give me a break! How can anyone in their right (or wrong!) mind compare a truly great guitarist like Jimmy Page to a good rhythm guitarist -Pete Townshend?
Two weeks is a short wait after all these years….
G. Stevens | 11/2/2007, 11:00 pm EST
It was supposed to be Relf and McCarty both singing, Page on guitar and Jones producing and playing bass and other Brian Jones inspired madness from pope John Paul, that wasn’t 2 be.
G. Stevens | 11/2/2007, 10:56 pm EST
Keith Relf was Led Zeppelin…

how many people here know what it’s like to try to play guitar well with a broken finger? hmm? i’m a guitarist who sprained his right thumb once and decided to still go on stage the next day….and fucked up every single one of our tunes. kicked myself in the ass for not delaying the gig. jimmy is on the right page here guys. whoa…….PUNNY!!!!
Danimal167 | 11/2/2007, 8:57 pm EST
I would expect a sloppy show. They’ve always been sloppy, loose, and tight all at the same time. They were THE ROCK GODS back in the day.
Stratoblogster | 11/2/2007, 5:37 pm EST
Why can’t he just fake it? This wouldn’t stop Townshend!!! The show must go on! Break a leg– instead!
Steevee Dee | 11/2/2007, 5:26 pm EST
That’s a Photoshopped finger…glad it wasn’t the middle one!
Mr "NOBODY" Jones | 11/2/2007, 4:55 pm EST
Screw all you complainers. LZ will be a very welcome treat for anyone fortunate enough to afford tickets, plane fare, and hotel rooms.
I still realy enjoy remembering the “good ol days” of the Led Zepplin, Flyin’ High!
bfissarahsmom | 11/2/2007, 3:49 pm EST
Hey! Page is the one who looks worse for wear, not Plant. I love Kashmir and When the Levee Breaks as much as the next, but let’s be serious, Robert Plant is the only one who has had the balls to truly move on from Zep, and do his own thing. From his own stuff to teaming up with Alison Krauss, HE is the real musician, and Page, although is a a hell of a guitarist, has not stretched himself musically the way Plant has. He has tried repeatedly through the years to live vicariously thru LZ, and that’s kinda sad. I’ve seen Plant in concert twice, and Page and Plant once. Great concerts, but honestly, the Plant solo tours were better.SO…Don’t be hatin’ on Plant
K | 11/2/2007, 3:28 pm EST
I saw JPJ open for a King Crimson show, and he can play just as well as he did, if not better than when he played with Zeppelin.
Liquid Feces | 11/2/2007, 2:55 pm EST
How did Page fracture that finger anyway? Was he too busy picking his nose or sticking his finger up his ass? Also if this is truly a reunion concert will they be propping up John Bonham’s casket on stage too so all the original members are there?
Rockstar70 | 11/2/2007, 2:49 pm EST
I’m all for Zep too. I just hate all the crap that comes months before they even step on stage.
steve w. Atlanta, Ga. | 11/2/2007, 1:38 pm EST
thank you nurserock
rock is’nt supossed to be polished and perfect it should be spontanious and rough around the edges
nurserock2 | 11/2/2007, 1:35 pm EST
I just don’t understand the people that say they won’t be able to play well because they’re old….
They sounded great in ‘98 without JPJ, Plant sounds great on his solo tours and Page sounded great with the Black Crowes…
besides…have you heard the old bootlegs? Not every night was perfect….there were beautiful mistakes in there too!
steve w. Atlanta, Ga. | 11/2/2007, 1:32 pm EST
Whats up with that picture, thats f&*#%@ up. I would cancel my subscription, if I didn’t cancel 10 years ago, because of all the liberal crap they print. and to all ya’ll haters out there, except for neil young, no one else is even a flea on jimmy’s ars.

Everybody, give these guys a break;and not any bones. The pressure is on for them to perform like they did 30 years ago and it’s not going to happen.I hope Jimmy,Robert,JohnPaul, and especially Jason just relax and have fun and enjoy playing together again.Fly on Led Zeppelin.
DOC | 11/2/2007, 1:19 pm EST
That can’t be Jimmie Pages’ finger! That has to be a stand in.

Tarpaper Shack | 11/2/2007, 10:43 am EST
We’d be happy to fill in for Zep and play for all those people who already bought tickets.
The Church Lady | 11/2/2007, 10:36 am EST
how convenient! Why don’t you tell us te real reason you are postponing, Jimmy! Could it beeee…SATAN?
No seriously, I don’t buy this. Its too much of a coincidence.
sup | 11/2/2007, 10:12 am EST
As someone not going to the Led Zeppelin concert, I would rather have plane tickets for the wrong dates than no plane (or concert) tickets at all.
Oh, also, I REALLY hope this injury doesn’t affect his playing. Because three weeks is not that long for an injury, and we may pray to the Rock Gods that Page’s finger is healing properly, speedily, and that he won’t suffer the embarrassment of missing a note in front of 20,000 disappointed fans. Because, injury or no injury, screwing up on stage pretty much validates the critics saying that Page is too old to play well.
For the love of Rock, prove them wrong.
Dennis A. | 11/2/2007, 9:23 am EST
