Notorious B.I.G.’s Estate Investigates Flip-Flopping Witness, Oasis Set to Record New Album, Kid Rock Not Charged for VMAs Scuffle

  • The estate of Notorious B.I.G. is filing a motion to acquire the phone and prison-visitation records of jailed-for-life R&B singer Waymond Anderson. Anderson recently recanted testimony he’d given implicating a former police officer in the shooting of the Brooklyn rapper. Anderson’s testimony was originally used in the estate’s suit against the city of Los Angeles, but he later said his testimony was part of a scam brewed up by the B.I.G. camp to help win the monetary suit. After the first lawsuit ended in a mistrial in 2005, the estate filed another wrongful death suit this April.
  • Tupac Shakur will get yet another posthumous release when the two-disc The Best of 2Pac hits stores December 4th. The collection will feature two unreleased Pac songs, as well as two new remixes. Biggie and Tupac in the news ticker on the same day that Britney Spears and the Backstreet Boys release new albums? The Nineties are alive and well.
