- Led Zeppelin and iTunes will soon present “The Complete Led Zeppelin,” a bulk purchase that corrals what’s advertised as all 141 songs the band officially released, live and studio. The package also curiously includes Mothership, the latest in a long line of Zep greatest-hits comps. Pre-ordering the collection, out November 13th, automatically enters iTuners into a sweepstakes to win tickets to see the band’s reunion show on November 26th in London.
- 50 Cent has joined the Al Sharpton-led caravan protesting Nas’ new controversial album title. “Nas sucks,” 50 told MTV, “It’s nonsense, man. That’s a stupid name. It doesn’t make sense. Why would you title it that?” Because Get Rich or Die Tryin’ promotes racial equality.
- Jonathan Davis will leave the Korn field behind this fall, as the singer will embark on a twenty-four date solo tour that spans from Hartford (November 9th) to Las Vegas (December 11th).
- Phil Spector, who awaits his second trial for the murder of Lana Clarkson after narrowly getting a mistrial during the first go-round, is in talks to hire a new lawyer.
- Rock n’ Roll Fantasy Camp is going mobile for a somewhat creative tour. Each stop on the tour will feature eighty to one hundred rock-hungry (and probably wealthy) denizens split into twelve bands. The acts will practice one song for eight hours with semi-celebrity counselors, then perform the song as one of twelve one-song opening acts before the still-unnamed headliners’ concert.
