Saturday Night Live’s Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein, a guitarist-singer in the currently on hiatus Sleater-Kinney, have started a sketch-comedy project called ThunderAnt that brokers in hilariously awkward situations like cloying dates and the politics of feminist bookstores (they wrote the peppy theme music, too). The pair popped by the Rolling Stone offices recently and we were pleasantly surprised when a conversation about Rock of Love led them to break into a spontaneous song about, well, us. Check back for more original material from the duo in the next few days here at Rock Daily.

since I came across Thunderant I can’t get enough! Fred and Carrie are hilarious. My favorite is the feminist book store. I love it! It is a toss up though between the new one where they are singing to each other over the phone.
I’m not being bi est because I’m from P-town. It truly is entertaining.
