  • Staring down the barrel of a gun-possession conviction, T.I. pleaded not guilty to a trio of felony weapons charges today at an Atlanta courthouse. The rapper will remain in jail until another hearing next Friday. T.I.’s lawyers tried, unsuccessfully, to have their client released under house arrest for $2.2 million. The judge said he’d consider a bond package for next week.
  • The Grand Ole Opry’s Porter Wagoner has been hospitalized in serious condition in his native Nashville. The rhinestone-donning eighty-year-old entered the hospital earlier this week with an unknown ailment.
  • Beck will contribute vocals to Sia’s new album Some People Have Real Problems, out January 8th. Beck will appear with the Zero 7 singer on the song “Academia.”
  • Halloween came early at one recent Annie Lennox concert. During a show in Colorado, a man dressed in platform boots, a black cape and a gas mask made his way toward the stage (the former Eurythmics singer fled). Lennox later apologized to her fans in her blog and no charges were filed.
  • Wu-Tang Clan have canceled their tour dates for the remainder of the year. Ghostface Killah is currently at odds with his Wu mates over what he claims is the group’s scheduling the release of 8 Diagrams on December 4th, the same day he plans to drop his solo album The Big Dough Rehab. Thankfully, Ghosty will still play shows this year to promote his album.
