koooool. the very first cd i bought was the joshua tree, upon its release in ‘87. the J.T. concert itself was also epic, memorable, and one of my favorites to date.

For someone who was supposedly bored by the whole thing, Johnny Asslicker sure did a thorough job of describing the Brit vid.

I saw the Britney video. Here’s a summary:

A trashy ditz (Britney) sits in a bar. Her attention is disrtacted. What’s this? THere’s a trashy ho (Britney) doing a striptease on stage. She is compelled by this for some reason. The viewer is supposed to identify with trashy ditz Britney’s facial reactions to the trashy ho on the stage - they’re unsure at first, then ‘hey, this girl’s got something!, then wow, I was impressed by that!’. Trashy ho Britney sluts around the pole singing ‘Gimme gimme more!’ with all the personality of a half-assed cartoon. Then the audience collectively yawns and changes the channel to something more stimulating and sexy, like ‘Sewing with Nancy’.
