
- What usually comes with a five-star album? Five-star B-sides, and according to the producer of Bruce Springsteen’s Magic, the Boss has another album’s worth of “great songs” that didn’t fit on the new album. Brendan O’Brien, who has served as Bruce’s producer since 2002’s The Rising, stopped short of telling Billboard that another Springsteen album could soon be on the horizon, but hinted that leftover tracks should “end up somewhere.”
- This May, rapper Ginuwine signed a $1.75 million contract, plus a $500,000 signing bonus, with King Music Group. Unfortunately for Ginuwine, there is no King Music Group, or so he claims in a $4 million lawsuit filed against the seemingly fictitious company.
- The Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan will assist in overseeing the construction of a Bob Moog museum. Corgan won’t be donning a hard hat, but he working with the synthesizer pioneer’s foundation to help preserve his legacy as well as establish musical scholarships.
- Check out the “Queen B” video from Maynard James Keenan’s non-Tool, non-A Perfect Circle side project Puscifer. If you ever wondered what a Pixar movie about chess would look like, well there you go.
- Kanye West is once again collaborating with Takashi Murakami, who created West’s anime-tastic cover for Graduation, on a collection of neck wear after sporting a massive gold and diamond-studded pendant at a Givenchy fashion show. West admits they’ll be “more accessible,” or cheaper, for public consumption.
