Buns and Hoses, Stuporfly…you are both correct. In fact, I remember somewhere around this time LAST year that Rollingstone issued a statement from the band saying that at some point before the year 2006 was up, Chinese Democracy will be released. Then back in March or April, part of it got leaked and it was NOTHING to brag about. Now we are in late 2007, and these fools are still trying to have us believe that there is still something to get excited over “when” (but more like “if”) Chinese Democracy ever comes out.

My Advice to the band and producers: Stop making excuses for yourselves and stop procrastinating on this project! This album is already a guaranteed failure because it will never recoup the MASSIVE amount of money and time that you spent on it, especially in a day and age when CDs don’t sell anymore. Just be thankful for the success that you once had back in the Appetite for Destruction days.

China might ACTUALLY have democracy by the time this album comes out, it’s been that long.
Axl’s “hair”, um, it looks like a rug, I mean an actual RUG. I’ve got a very similiar one in the entrance to my house….same weave….same colors…damn.

IF this record is ever released, I think people will probably be disappointed. Because taking this long to make a record will cause a lot of fans’expectations to be too high!

AXL = ICON. I wouldnt care if Guns n Roses took another 5 years to release this masterpiece, you can’t rush perfection. In this day of age where groups like Velvet Revolver release cd’s that took 3 weeks to create that contain songs that have an attention span of 2 minutes, its nice to see that Axl and Co. have stuck to their creative “guns” and hopefully some songs comparable to Coma and Estranged, when the band was at its creative peak. Thats the whole reason the band broke up, because Slash couldn’t handle expanding the horizon of idea’s, he would rather be a rollingstone… his guitar riffs were as only as good as the lyrics he wrapped them around, why do you think FINK/BUMBLEFOOT/FORTUS/STINSON OWN NOW!

Guns N Roses to record their masterpiece? What Guns N Roses? Axl fired them all! Unfortunately most of them are now in a musical trainwreck band called “Velvet Revolver”.

If the album is ever released (and it certainly won’t be February 12, 2008), it will be incredible.

By the way, Rolling Stone, you should post articles EVERY time Amazon.com and hmv.com allow pre-orders for this album. You’d hardly have room for any other news!

Guns N’ Roses don’t exist anymore. Calling this a Guns N’ Roses project is a joke. That band had a certain swagger and a certain chemistry. 4 out 5 members are no longer in the “band” Guns N’ Roses were a band. Axl and his merry band of archers are not Guns N’ Roses. Simple point. Apparently lost on everyone!

How Rolling Sotne can’t have any information of this album. When RS will be investigate like other times. Please RS stop to make articuls only to promotion.

I think we will actually see another Pink Floyd record and tour before this GNR thing hits (which both = never). Will definitely be a commercial disaster as cd’s do not sell anymore.

It’s pretty crazy all the reactions about this album, it’s like a myth.

Everytime the word “Chinese Democracy” is pronounced, it’s like the Judgment Day is around the corner or something, there is so much talk, and people debating and fighting etc… there’s a lot of passion around this album.

I think and hope it will be a Great record, we will see that, but it will break the record sales for sure.

It took the Beatles and Zeppelin less time to record ALL of thier CLASSIC albums! How can anyone defend this crap? You say he is a perfectionist and that he needs time. Well how much time is needed if it’s so good? It’s not going to sell like you think it will. The first week will be huge and then it will be gone. That is what that corn rowed freak is so scared of. If he can’t be number one he would rather be nothing. If he never releases it he still has the hype. If he releases it and it’s a flop he is done with.

i’ve been waiting for this album since i was fucking 14 years old. just release it. i mean the songs from the unreleased album get aired during their concerts. yet, the album is not out? so backwards… I mean I understand testing them in front of an audience but shit, rock in rio 3 was forever ago and its time to let this bitch go.

as for slash and Izzy they were made to play in the same band it would be damn near impossible to have a rhythmic and lead to perform as well together as them two the fact sweet child of mine started off as a accident is proof.

We’re not in 1991. Most music is downloaded today. Even stuff you really like. Why? ‘Cuz we’been fucked by the industry for way too long. Why should I pay 15$ for an album of dudes that ride 100′000$ cars while I can barely afford new strings to play a gig. So even is “Chinese” ain’t a big chart-success, I can assure you it will be on many people’s mp3 players rocking the fuck outta ‘em!!!
