SOADs singer sounds like a goat herder. Good musically. Mastodon is prog metal at its best. Crack the Skye is amazing. Singing again is suspect. But at least they all can play. So, Brent was wasted. I’ve calmed down several drunk people without nearly killing them – after a while, they just give up and fall down. Looks like these guys saw an easy fight, but it still took two of them. They know who Mastodon is, this wasn’t some random drunk guy that crawled out of a dumpster, he’s one of the greatest guitarists that ever lived.

God knows how people can think SOAD is better than mastodon have you heard any of the album. come on each one is a masterpiece and shavo and nick hudson are fucking pussys two on one isnt fair at all shows just how much they are scared of Mr. Hinds and what he would do to them if were just one on one.

some of system’s songs have lyrical value and most have very textured sound…good.mastodon brings both together more artistically and w/ more musical skill, be honest. it’s not easy being a musician and under the pressure of creation, so both bands should get equal respect, in that aspect. violence proves lack of growth, needless to say, and i’m sure after the incident, all of them grew a little from the experience. fin
