What It Is: Sleek and chic, leather-backed travel iPod dock and speaker system
Who It’s For: Business travelers and fashionplates who want their iPod peripherals and audio gear to match their leather briefcases, handbags and iPod cases.
Why It’s Worthy: The otherwise generic rectangular iPod dock with speakers on either side is attached to an ingenious leather case that doubles as a speaker stand. The case then folds over the entire speaker dock, making the ensemble look sort of like a leather-bound diary or a tall clutch purse. Like most other docking systems, it comes with a tiny remote, runs on rechargeable batteries and juices up your iPod when it’s plugged in.
Our Only Complaint: Since it’s not much bigger than a paperback, the Journi won’t exactly fill a large room with sound, but it’s good enough for those impromptu hotel, dorm-room or camp-fire parties.
