And about Rolling Stone, come on,why is Jon Bon Jovi on the picture and not Axl Rose or GN’R,ha?!?!?!
I agree about “Paradise City”,but I’ll say also “Sweet child o’mine”.

Red Menace | 9/16/2007, 11:43 am EST

This is regional New York, New York and My Way by Frank Sinatra

And put me down for “Jesse’s Girl” as well. It is really popular with guys probably because it’s not that challenging of a vocal range and girls dig it and like to sing along. Don’t know about anywhere else, but it’s really popular in the 5 boroughs.

J | 9/16/2007, 11:29 am EST

Sam Hagar | 9/16/2007, 8:50 am EST

I’ve known Rick Springfield since the early 70s when he was bouncing around in a lot of bands in LA trying to find a niche. Unfortunately, when he finally made it, he also took a part on General Hospital, and he lost some credibility with the critics, which was a shame. I’ve seen Rick perform live many times and we’ve shared the same bill on many occasions, he really is a true rock and roller and is amazing live. So, I have to go with quite a few of you with “Jesse’s Girl.” As far as VH, I sincerely do wish Dave and the band the best of luck. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

if you learned to play nice instead of PRETENDING to play nice, people wouldn’t fuck with you.

stay away | 9/16/2007, 1:25 am EST

…with that said, there are a few who come close on the vocals, but there will only be a one and only Jim.

stay away | 9/16/2007, 1:20 am EST

Actually, you are correct. There is at least one singer who can pull off Doors vocals quite well, but if I mention the name, I know I’ll be verbally attacked.

Bukowski | 9/16/2007, 1:11 am EST

Actually, believe it or not, I’ve seen a few people do a pretty good job with Morrison, one of them being me. And I knew a guy who was in a Doors tribute band and he eerily sounded and looked like Morrison.

stay away | 9/16/2007, 12:28 am EST

Those songs only have effect when sung by Jim Morrison.

Don’t even bother karaokeing them, and don’t waste your time trying to be him.

me | 9/15/2007, 11:48 pm EST

bad medicine, bon jovi
wannabe, spice girls (sorry but its true)
welcome to the jungle, gnr
and i do a pretty fuckin amazing smells like teen spirit.

hahaha

MK | 9/15/2007, 10:53 pm EST

Well, I’ve always said that you can’t go wrong with The Doors and karaoke, so that’s my vote. “Hello, I Love You,” “Light My Fire,” or if you’re really ambitious bust out “Touch Me” onstage and see if you get any takers!

Just kidding. Ha ha.

I’d also have to say “Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor is definitely up there.

For the ladies, I’d nominate “Brass in Pocket,” probaly, although I’ve yet to hear a good version

later.
