
- Less than a week after his run-in with Kid Rock at the VMAs, Tommy Lee announced that he is quitting Mötley Crüe. The remaining bandmembers are suing the band’s former manager for lost revenues; they claim that the manager convinced Lee to pursue reality TV shows and rather than tour with the band.
- Foxy Brown’s manager finally revealed what many already suspected: The incarcerated rapper is not pregnant, despite the rapper previously telling the media that she was.
- Billy Joel will play a series of concerts at Shea Stadium, home of the New York Mets, before it is demolished in late 2008. Joel’s performances will serve as the closing bookend for Shea’s concert run, which began with the Beatles’ famous performance there in 1965.
- The Noisettes have joined the White Stripes, the Gossip, and Kaiser Chiefs as the latest band to cancel their U.S. tour. The Noisettes insist they need to “take a break” after touring for the last two years, and are trying to reschedule the cancelled dates for early 2008.
