The White Stripes Pull Out of Austin City Limits Festival

Citing medical reasons, the White Stripes have canceled their Austin City Limits festival performance at the eleventh hour today. Jack and Meg White, who were scheduled to play the AT&T stage at 8:30 PM on Saturday, will be replaced — but event organizers haven’t announced who will take the stage instead just yet. UPDATE: Muse will fill the timeslot the Stripes have vacated.

White Stripes is a solid band with an awesome sound. I love all their CD’s prior to Icky Thump… and that one is still pretty good. Jack white is the most creative rocker on the planet as of now! Open your mind and listen to the deep cuts. Your IPOD, buy the single mentality is limiting your taste.

I hope that Meg is doing well and I can’t say just how disappointed I am that they won’t be coming… I hope they reschedule the tour again soon and Meg is back to banging away on the drums. Get well Meg! (As for Sammy’s comments below – some people just don’t know something good when they hear it. Too bad for you, idiot..)
