I bought both, and I thought Kanye was gonna win it hands down, but after hearing both cd’s. 50’s is better in all aspects, beats, collabo, and substance. It kind of surprised me, but the radio is still not ready for 50’s music. Meanwhile, Kanye’s cd has a few good tracks but I felt there was at least one more hit missing to put him over the top. 50 hands down,,,,even though the ROC is in the building!!!

The main difference between 50 cent and Kanye West as artists has nothing to do from where they’re from our their Street Credibility. The fact of the matter is that while 50 cent stays true to the formula ‘if it aint broke, dont fix it’, Kanye takes the risks and ends up taking the rewards that go along with them.

I have both cds but I continually return to Graduation to replay songs like “Flashing Lights” and “Homecoming”. It’s a great cd to listen to straight through, whereas Curtis could pull out a few hits to play at a party. “Money in the Bank” is a great song, and it is accompanied by a few others, but there just insn’t enough support from the weaker tracks to keep 50 cent afloat.

Kanye’s album is by far better then 50’s. While College Dropout is still his best effort, Graduation is still a classic. 50’s only alright album is Get Rich or Die Trying, Massacre was one of the worst albums I have ever heard, and Curtis is no better. 50 has no variety in his music, he makes the same song over and over again, the only thing I can say about 50 is that he is a great business man which makes up for his lack of musical talent. Kanye on the other hand never has a truly bad song, I personally have never skipped a track while listening to a Kanye album, he is one of the few true artists left in hip-hop, let alone music.

50’s album is good for what it is, but Ye’s is much better. It’s original, progressive, creative, extremely colorful and positive. All these thing, IMO, make for a much more interesting and enjoyable listen.

i bought kanye’s today…..it starts off incredibly with good morning, but it’s reeeealllly slow. there are a lot of interesting aspects, but if you were expecting something a little more up beat like his previous two albums, this one’s not for you. stronger and can’t tell me nothing dominate, while drunk and hot girls, flashing lights and good life are all good too.

I own over 700 albums.. music is my second life (especially hip hop). I have every 50 cd from “Power of a Dollar” to “No Mercy, No Fear” to “The Massacre”.. Alternative rap is really different from what 50 does. It has a much broader appeal, which is tremendous for Kayne and his fans. Don’t hate on 50, for what he does, he is the best. 50s album with the exception of Amusement Park, the Robin Thicke song, and Ayo is outstanding. Kayne’s album isn’t as deep.

Well It looks like Kanye is going to win. He did outsell 50 on the first day. A great day for hip-hop. Personally I have really never understood the love of 50. Sure he has some good rhymes. I have respect for both artists because they are doin their thang. Even if I don’t like it, they are doin what they do.
