This is probably the last thing Brian Wilson envisioned when he wrote “Good Vibrations” (read about the genesis of the track here, as part of Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Songs): Last night, Fall Out Boy pals Gym Class Heroes put a funky twist on the Beach Boys tune while performing at a New York City fashion week party at Chelsea’s Eyebeam. The band originally did the cover for a Sunkist soda ad campaign, and the track appeared on One Tree Hill. Check out our exclusive live footage here, and let us know what you think of the VMA-nominated act’s interpretation in the comments.

I love Gym Class Heroes. The sound quality is awful – but the song is great!

Guitar Zero | 9/7/2007, 1:32 pm EST

Actually, Steven, this is called a “cover”. It’s where a performer pays homage to another performer.

MUSICAL RETARD^ | 9/7/2007, 5:46 pm EST

you guys are all stupid

Griffin | 9/7/2007, 6:29 pm EST

are you sure that’s not Kevin Federline? It sure as hell looks like him.

jaysonmason | 9/7/2007, 7:26 pm EST

this band is just awful.
its funny that its mentioned that they are fall out boys “pals” in every bit of press they get. there is absolutly no way this band could stand on their own two feet. these dudes are some major dick riders.

Are you kidding me? These guys are awesome and they do stuff that no one else does.

Jeff | 9/24/2007, 1:52 pm EST

Actually, “Guitar Zero”, this cover is less “homage” than unintentional self-parody.

Arianna | 3/15/2008, 7:12 pm EST

even considering its “creativity” (covering a well known song to make a sunkist commercial) and all the points these crazy guys will score from the preteen fanbase! this is really very bad.

Perla Rocha | 2/26/2009, 2:29 pm EST

i love Travis
