
- Last week she released a new single, and now Britney Spears has a legal victory to celebrate: Her lawyer revealed the pop star has been cleared of child-welfare complaints. Spears’ custody battle against ex Kevin Federline will still wage on, as three court hearings are scheduled throughout the remainder of the year.
- The Game will face three felony charges after being accused of pulling a gun on an opposing player during a pick-up basketball game at an L.A. educational center. When he arrived at court yesterday, the MC reportedly told photographers he was there to “ride all the rides at Disneyland.”
- The Beatles’ classic 1965 film Help! will finally get the deluxe-DVD treatment on October 29th. The digitally restored film will come complete with a second disc featuring a documentary, behind-the-scenes footage and a missing scene. - Master P is collaborating with Austin Powers actor and Nerf ad-man Seth Green on a new Sims-like video game called Play the Industy. The 3D game, which will allow users to assume the everyday lives of a rapper, athlete or power broker, is expected out in late 2009, mostly likely for the inevitable XBox 720 console.
- And the most improbable opening act of 2007 is … Ky-Mani Marley. The second-youngest member of Bob Marley’s tribe, and star of a BET reality series, will open up for the newly reunited Van Halen for the entirety of their U.S. and Canadian tour.
