Mims statement: “I have never accused any artist, including Kanye West, an artist that I respect, of stealing my style or the production style of the Black Out Movement. The recent rumors circulating on the internet saying that I’ve done so are the unfortunate and misconstrued machinations of an overseas entertainment tabloid interested in creating sensationalist headlines. Although rumors and false quotes sometimes come with the territory of fame, it’s unfortunate all the same.”
