Less than a week after Ticketmaster spilled the beans about Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band’s forthcoming tour, it looks like they prematurely announced a date for Neil Young’s fall tour, too. According to this page, Neil Young and Crazy Horse will play at the Keller Auditorium in Portland, Oregon, on October 22nd. Tickets go on sale Saturday, September 8th. Only one-third of Crazy Horse (drummer Ralph Molina) plays on the forthcoming Chrome Dreams II, but it looks like they’ll be the backing band on the tour. Young hasn’t toured solo since the 2003-04 Greendale tour.

Heard a whisper the other day that Neil will be the headline act at THE BIG DAY OUT 2009 festival tour around Australia.Seems strange as this is a “KIDS”show but Iggy and the stooges were there a couple of years ago.Won’t go to this teeny fest, there will have to be stand alone shows.Don’t care which Muso’s are in the line up,quality assured.Just have to see what the motherfuckin’ ticket agency slugs us for tickets……

NEIL
Next time you tour with the horse
could you possibly play at the
First Union Center in Philly, PA?
is there another CSNY tour in the works, that would be awesome too.
I listened to Chrome and it rocks
I love it
katiem050 | 10/27/2007, 12:48 am EST
Neil
It would make my life complete
if you could just say hey to
Katie & John in Somerton PA. Let’s
face it I would get as many jobs as it took to see you in concert.
I have Live at Red Rock DVD and
that is the best. Please tour with
the horse after you tour with Pegi
and your Chrome tour.
katiem050 | 10/27/2007, 12:36 am EST
Neil,
Do you know that all those “ticket
outlet” charge up to $2000 to see
you? I have been a huge fan since
I was 13 and saw you at the Spectrum in Phila., PA I paid $7.50
to see you. Can’t something be done
about this??? I want to see you and Pegi at the Tower Theatre in
Upper Darby but I cannot let my
hard working husband to pay $600
for 2 tickets (the lowest price we
could find from those ripoff
concert ticket outlets) I have seen
you over 20 times and the highest
amount my husband paid was $160
for 2 tickets for CSN&Y. You rock
and your music has gotten me through some tough times and I would love to see you and Crazy Horse on tour is it a possibility?

Just another comment to add to previous. Hope you can send a message of support to all nurses and Australian Nursing Federation here in Victoria (Australia)who are battling a labour government and campaigning for improved wages and conditions!

neil,
Hope you can find the time in 2008 to tour Melbourne Australia.
Cheers, Baz

OK so I know it is not Crazy Horse. That is fine. What I want is a show less than 885 miles from Austin. St. Louis is a few miles close than Denver but still way to far. For those of you complaining about ticket cost it is 2007! I would gladly pay for a show in this part of the country! I hope there is a 2nd leg of the tour in the Spring!

neil young and crazy horse on tour is one of the things I’ve had to wait for too long in my short 32 years on this mud ball.
2 things, though Neil.. and please pay attention.
1. come to Kansas City
2. make your ticket prices so the “common man” can afford them.
I haven’t been to a concert in a LONG time because I have a house payment, 2 kids and a wife. I can’t afford $100+ just to get in the door.
something has got to be done.

Greg McGarvey | 8/27/2007, 1:39 pm EST
TicketMaster had an empty “Neil Young & Crazy Horse” slot for several years prior to the Portland listing, I think. Until the tour info is announced (sometime this week, Reprise says), there’s no reason for RollingStone to assume that Crazy Horse will be on the tour. If they’re not, though, here’s hoping for a winter tour.
Wicked Lester | 8/27/2007, 1:19 pm EST
