
- Rob Zombie confirmed he’ll embark on a joint tour with Ozzy Osbourne this fall during a TV interview yesterday. Zombie said the trek will begin in October and last through December, with dates and venues still to follow. Osbourne is currently finishing up this year’s Ozzfest, while Zombie’s remake of Halloween is due in theaters next week.
- Farewell, fake Sha Na Na: New York Governor Eliot Spitzer has signed the Truth in Music Law, adding New York to the list of States that prohibit bands from playing under the name of an established act if there are no members of the original group included.
- The rift between Lauryn Hill and the rest of the Fugees has just gone global-political: In a recent interview, Pras predicts there is a better chance of seeing President Bush and Osama Bin Laden sipping lattes together than there is of a Fugees reunion.
- Maybe Universal really is up to testing the limits of iTunes’ power: Universal Music Group’s YouTube Channel is the most-watched on the service, according to recently released YouTube data.
- R. Kelly may not be plotting a fall tour as Keyshia Cole erroneously implied, but Kelly Clarkson has announced the beginnings of a fall trek following the cancellation of her summer tour with an October 10th show in Verona, New York, and October 15th and 16th dates at New York City’s Beacon Theatre.
