The gods of rock-related reality TV have heard our prayers and are delivering a second incarnation of the wickedly smart VH1 series Ego Trip’s The (White) Rapper Show. The yet-untitled spin-off series will document the search for a female hip-hop prodigy (we guess Lil Mama and Lady Sovereign need some company). Very few details are available about the new series, which hasn’t even started filming yet, so there’s no word yet whether MC Serch will be responsible for telling ousted contestants to “Step off!”. But if you think you’ve got what it takes to be crowned the female $hamrock (a.k.a. the first season’s Paul Wall lookalike victor), you can audition for a chance to be ridiculed (in good humor!) and tested (freestyling in the Ice Ice Chamber!) on the show. Open calls are being held in Chicago on August 25th, and in Philadelphia, Atlanta, Miami and L.A. in the coming weeks. Hallelujah, holla back!
