8/21/07, 11:59 am EST

One of the tracks on Neil Young’s forthcoming Chrome Dreams II is said to be “Ordinary People,” a song that Young’s been sitting on for nearly twenty years. He played the epic track a bunch of times in 1988 with the Bluenotes. Check out this YouTube clip of him performing it at the Lakeside Ampitheater in Darien Lake, New York on September 18, 1988. The song is so long it’s divided in two halves.

Gear up for grub with a tripleheader of pigskin, including a meeting of brothers in Dallas. Everybody knows it’s been a rough year for her, but find out who else had issues

Ordinary People is one of Neils greatest songs. The late great Steve Otis Lawrence plays his ass off on keyboards and tenor sax and thats whats its all about. We leave our tracks in the sound..

Is THIS Neil’s greatest? I dunno man; he’s got a couple of songs you know. But it’s right up there. Be interesting to see a top

It’s a cool song, but the better one by far from that tour was the sublime Crime in the City, the full version. Best Neil song ever.

Come on Neil, you know you want to play it on the new tour.

Steven James | 9/11/2007, 12:20 pm EST

Can somebody shut him up?
I don’t know for the life of me
where he comes up with that stuff.”

Totally brilliant

Ursie Pastures | 8/22/2007, 4:13 pm EST

Neil could be singing about my Dublin city - right here and right now - hits it right on the nail - the way it is. A fantastic song.

ehsan | 8/22/2007, 4:12 pm EST

RockStorm | 8/22/2007, 12:51 pm EST

mary mary | 8/22/2007, 12:37 pm EST

That good old boy (neil young) had
it…has it…and will have it for
all of us to enjoy to the end of
time. He’s a mean, lean, music
machine.

He is the man!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tom | 8/22/2007, 11:30 am EST
