I sincerely hope this isn’t true but in the sad case it may be, I hope MTV/VMAs won’t disrespect their viewing audience by allowing her to lip-sync.

Shaun | 8/15/2007, 11:31 am EST

I hope Brittany pulls a G ‘n’ R and plays an embarassingly bad set to a bunch of hype.

MTV “will not confirm or deny Britney`s appearance at an awards show”. What Blustery , pompous, self-important windbags. No wonder MTV died 20 years ago,The suits took over and ran it into the ground.

Midwest Fan | 8/15/2007, 3:27 pm EST

To OMG:

Love the sarcasm. MTV let their acts lip-sync?…never.

K-Fed Up | 8/15/2007, 6:43 pm EST

She can be on the VMAs for all I care….I’ve got the kids!

(She’s still fuckin’ hot!)

Where will the kids be? | 8/15/2007, 7:48 pm EST

I can’t believe MTV will allow her to perform, knowing what a complete mess she has been. Remember that terrible lipsynching house of blues tour she did? She is a total and complete mess and MTV would be reaching a new low if they allowed this tired loser to “perform”.

lovnmyredhead | 8/15/2007, 10:44 pm EST

Oh pray tell, what are the odds of Spears having a breakdown (or meltdown if you like) in front that Live MTV audience and the millions of televison viewers? Does she really think she can just slap something together in under 4 weeks? I’d be really surprised. Anyone seen Spears rehearsing or practicing anything remotely like singing and/or dancing? Noooooo.

Michael McKeon | 8/16/2007, 12:57 am EST

I’ll bet she still knows how to handle the SNAKE (ha,ha)!

“There are only two types of women – goddesses and doormats.”
- Pablo Picasso

bukowski | 8/16/2007, 5:00 am EST

There’s only two types of Women: The one’s who leave you and the one who WON’T!

Dear K Fed | 8/16/2007, 5:20 am EST

And you think you got the Better End of that deal? Perhaps that’s why people think you’re a fuckin’ idiot!

pLaNeTcArR | 8/16/2007, 7:15 am EST

That’s an interesting reaction from Mars.

bukowski | 8/16/2007, 7:24 am EST

You want a ride?

bukowski | 8/16/2007, 7:26 am EST

Dave’s already set up a satellite for TV. Although, if you want good reception, someone always has to be sitting on the left side of the couch.

bukowski | 8/16/2007, 7:34 am EST

How many miles is Planet Carr from Mars, anyway,VG?

VG | 8/16/2007, 7:41 am EST

It’s probably roughly the same distance as between Venus and Mars, bukowski.

VG | 8/16/2007, 7:54 am EST

I have to run. Will give you feedback later about the genesis song.
~peace~

bukowski | 8/16/2007, 7:58 am EST

If listening to the song feels like a chore, then don’t sweat it! Peace

VG | 8/16/2007, 2:19 pm EST

Listening to music rarely feels like a chore. Don’t sweat it either bukowski…if I don’t like the music in the song, the lyrics might be interesting. Speaking of cubism, did you know that Joni Mitchell is a painter…I read that she has created about 500 paintings…later…

has any one ever noticed how many older more flattering photos are going up to promote britaney instead of current shots. alana myles trying to stage a come back on her web site she does this press trick too–pictures of her from 12- 18 years ago very strange –she also is attemping this shadow robert plant thing —i`ll put rings on like him people will think we are secertly married-also an explaination of her one hit wonder black velvet her then boyfriend wrote-she explians her thoughtslove to hear her ex take on it as he penned it-as well as plant if she is hichen a current assocation with him or is there really something under wraps?)she says that that song bv carried single handedly the music business through nashville for ten yrs-then the real big mystery secret (IN THE VEIN OF PLANT) is that song is really all about elvis stopping racsim(she says black glove) i am surprised she didn`t say something about sister rosetta here with all her good intentions —-strangely she started the blog with for elivs 40th anniverary—–the heart breaking thing in all this is any remotely interested let alone die hard elvis fan knows it was just 30th year since his passing check out Lisa`s video honoring her daddy

I am tired of all of the Britney bashing. All of the nasty comments by the morning news shows and Sarah Silverman’s insults were rude, nasty and very unnecessary but I guess these news shows and Sarah Silverman count on bashing others to get ratings instead of offering real talent and real news. Regardless of what people expected, Britney still looked amazing and has made a great comeback. Perhaps her comeback did not fit into your preconceived notions but it was still a great comeback considering where she was last year. If any of you nasty and hurtful people think that you can do better maybe you should contact MTV to open the show next year. Small minded insecure people bash others to make themselves feel better.
