
- In an example of life not imitating art, Amy Winehouse might, in fact, go to rehab. After a string of missed concerts, the British tabloids are reporting that Winehouse finally revealed it was heroin and cocaine (and not exhaustion) that made her miss the performances, including a gig opening for the Rolling Stones.
- The White Stripes will soundtrack keggers this September when they release a “frat-rock” version of their song “You Don’t Know What Love Is (You Just Do What You’re Told)” as a B-side on the single of the album version of the Icky Thump song.
- After winning a Grammy for their duet “For Once In My Life,” Tony Bennett and Stevie Wonder will collaborate on a full album.
- Fats Domino has been presented with the gold records that he lost in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. He was also the second artist to be deemed a “music legend” by the Recording Industry Association of America, following Johnny Cash.
- IFC continues their daily premieres of R. Kelly’s ongoing absurdist saga “Trapped in the Closet,” with today’s Chapter 14 being especially complex/catchy.
