Ever wonder what it would be like if the Boss revered Robin Guthrie instead of Woody Guthrie? Okay, neither have we. But this cover is still terrifically chilling.

Eve, “Party Like a Rock Star” [Live/Shop Boyz Reappropriation, AOL]
How do you save a sort of mediocre summer jam? Put Eve on it. Her motormouthed rapid-fire flow decimates the track, working breathless magic in under two minutes.

Amy Winehouse, “Tears Dry on Their Own,” “He Can Only Hold Her,” “Back to
Black” [Daily Motion]
Considering the fact that she both a) showed up and b) sang on-key, we’re tempted to label these “rare tracks.”

Paramore is incredible. Haley can belt it and the band deserves a looong moment in the spotlight. Their energy on stage is electric and those who are fans are hardcore devoted.

As for Amy Winehouse, “He Can Only Hold Her” is a decent track. I wouldn’t put it in my favorites of her work.

What surprises me the most about Paramore is that their lyrics aren’t the ham-fisted, melodramatic drivel that one would expect from a band their age.

That girl is real bitchin’! I noticed how they tried to hide the real ugly guy behind everyone else and kinda off in a corner. He looks like he was trying to pop a zit on his face.

I hate to play the gender card. Why do you celebrate the excess of Guns N Roses and Pete Doherty and criticize Amy Winehouse for doing the same thing? The 2-part concert is evidence that she is for real. The performances are amazing.

About why Paramore isn’t huge, they aren’t bad, but they are not that great. So, they aren’t singing emo. They are playing middle of the road rock songs with cliched lyrics.

Amy Winehouse is 23 years old. Lets be serious people, we were all doing what shes doing when we were 23 but we didn’t have a camera crew following us everywhere we went.

The guy in the background isn’t a member of the band, he’s just some guy in the background. Also, you can say what you want about their style, but I’ve seen this band live on four occasions, and they never fail to deliver…they have an incredible stage presence and Hayley sounds even more amazing live

I really agree.Haley has something about her that makes me want to listen to Paramore’s songs.I think it’s the amazing songs they,maybe it’s how powerfu Haleys voice is and how it’s a rush to hear the loudness of the drums and guitars.
