
- Timbaland is talking about the ten tracks he and Justin Timberlake wrote and produced for Madonna’s upcoming album. The still-unnamed LP “is up there with Justin’s album,” according to Timbaland, who says he’ll finish it up with Madge in September. Timbaland added that the disc recalls the singer’s “Lucky Star” days, and will also include Pharrell track called “Candy Shop.”
- Vince Gill, Mel Tillis and Ralph Emery will be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame during the Country Music Awards in October.
- The Allman Brothers Band, the Derek Trucks Band, Montgomery Gentry and the Counting Crows have been added to the Farm Aid lineup, which already includes Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews; the show takes place in New York on September 9th.
- Lily Allen’s manager says yesterday’s reports of the British singer having her work visa revoked are “rubbish,” because Allen has been working in Las Vegas and was not denied her visa.
- Time to update your anti-virus software: A new worm called w32.Deletemusic is programmed to delete all of the MP3s it finds on a computer, as well as on any external hard drives attached to it.
