nice one. great interviews Maiden.

Jeff | 8/7/2007, 8:15 pm EST

Good to see Pete Maiden back and doing great work. Looked like fun.

KNUCKLE BONEZZ | 8/7/2007, 9:12 pm EST

PEARL JAM was stumbling all over the stage, and sound was so distorted, and sloopy. Maybe eddie Vetter can get EDDIE VAN HALEn’s rehab counselor’s #

There’s some great concert footage of Pearl Jam, circa ‘92 (w/good quality sound)…

Search for:
“Pearl Jam Pink Pop ‘92″
at youtube dot com
Those concert footage clips are very similar to their performances at Lolla ‘92 (first time I saw them live).

I don’t think that the RS video clip at this post gives PJ fair justification; their concert at The Gorge last year was amazing.

Knuckle Bonezz, if you hated “Eddie Vetter” so much, why did you waste 80 dollars and WATCH THEM? Leaving is always a possibility. I thought they were amazing, they played some rare shit and while some may find Eddie VeDDer’s ranting annoying, I find it intelligent and fresh..and lots of people drink before/on stage (i.e. Amy Winehouse) but unlike Amy Winehouse, the performance rocks no matter what…

Jason | 8/7/2007, 10:21 pm EST

Knuckle Boneszz were you even at the show? Or are you making judgments based on the 10 second snippet in the clip above. Pearl Jam was amazing, and you’d be hard pressed to find many at the show that would disagree.

How can you report on Lollapalooza and NOT mention or even show Iggy and the Stooges??

pflo | 8/8/2007, 12:31 am EST

Lollapalooza was the name of a lollipop, Perry Farrell said this when it started.Common knowledge, people!

scoobysnack | 8/8/2007, 2:24 am EST

i had a great time at the festival and saw hardly any of those bands. unfortunately, no clip of lcd or iggy…wtf

? | 8/8/2007, 8:35 am EST

im pretty sure you were drunk when you wrote this, knuckle

Sherry | 8/8/2007, 9:40 am EST

Pearl Jam – a band never to be duplicated – simply the best. Amy Winehouse doesn’t deserve to be at the same festival as them – What’s up with her popularity? I don’t get it at all.

Muse Rox | 8/8/2007, 10:45 am EST

Why doesn’t antone mention Muse! They are thee best band on the planet. They are great songwriters, performers and have more talent than any of those bands put together with no ego shit. They come, rock and take care of business. I think they are over American’s heads because they sell out every place in Europe. Check them out.

jb | 8/8/2007, 11:03 am EST

daft punk owned that festival

thejewels10 | 8/8/2007, 11:04 am EST

Lets get more IGGY pics on ROLLING STONE…Iggy is such a TRUE PERFORMER. I was able to grab some spectacular shots!
Iggy’s performance was nothing short of “pure raw adrenaline”!
Go to myspace and look my name up.

Iggy and the Stooges were also amazing, my friend managed to get onstage! It’s a fucking crime they haven’t been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, or even CONSIDERED. 39 years is long enough, are they gonna wait 50 years since the first album came out, DOUBLE the requirement? Crime I say, crime…let’s put Iggy on the next RS cover, not that cupcake Zac Efron..

Amy | 8/8/2007, 3:33 pm EST

knuckle bonezz…..i can’t even try to sway your opinion… if you didn’t think that PJ absoultly rocked then you are too stubborn to even waste time….. PJ was amazing…. Eddie always drinks on stage thats just how it is… I don’t think he has a problem…. he is enjoying what he does… and what preformer exactly did you see that DIDN’T take a drink?

vacie | 8/8/2007, 7:06 pm EST

Great work Maido.I am glad you are given more than just 1 min and 17 of air time:-)

Chuck | 8/8/2007, 9:33 pm EST

Wish a little SILVERCHAIR love woulda been shown. They kicked some major lolly.

Tom | 8/8/2007, 11:43 pm EST

Pearl jam is more relevant now than ever before. Eddie, Stone, Mike, Jeff and Matt, WE LOVE YOU

Eyewitness | 8/9/2007, 4:22 pm EST

Daft Punk was simply unbelievable, I was front row and didn’t realize they made speakers that got that loud… I still can’t hear.

BJ | 8/12/2007, 11:53 am EST

Daft Punk dominated.
