In an effort to bolster sales of Amy Winehouse’s 2003 debut, Frank – which is to be released Stateside for the first time on November 7th – Universal Republic is bullying retailers into removing the import version of the LP from their shelves. The label sent cease-and-desist letters on July 24th threatening to take wholesalers and record shops to court and is claiming that its “exclusive right to distribute [Winehouse’s] recordings in the States” is being infringed upon, which makes us wonder about all those import versions of various albums you can get on Amazon and Virgin Megastore. But go for it, guys.

LOL - Amy looks like a tattooed version of the B-52’s female singers.

When the bastards stop short selling us with lesser versions containing less/omitted tracks on the domestic versions, we’ll stop buying the import versions! Too often, the sound is even better on the import versions. A good case in point: Karla Bonoff’s “Best Of” Cd, the Japanese version[only a few dollars more!] contains two ‘must have’ domestic radio singles, as bonus tracks, from her catalogue that were omitted on the U.S. version.

She’s sexy in a kind of cross between Susanna Hoffs and a psychotic Patty Hearst. Crazy chicks are smokin’ hot. The more shit that Lindsay Lohan does the more she makes me burn!
