i do not understand the mind-numblingly stupid obsession that people have with Scarlett Johansson- she can’t act, she has a man voice, she’s fat and she’s an actual bimbo. you people are idiots!

Previously unseen Beatles footage = sucky Beatles footage.

Keep it locked in a vault somewhere.

Sammy | 8/2/2007, 12:41 pm EST

I said it before - I’d like to suck off Elton John while listening to the Beatles and fucking Scarlett Johansson. I love to multi-task!

Liquid Feces | 8/2/2007, 12:33 pm EST

Does anyone care to hear an album from Scarlett Johansson? C’mon Scarlett, we want to see you naked. Not hear you sing. Stick to acting (and disrobing).

I read about the Beatles footage on the NME website yesterday, so I knew I’d see it at Rolling Stone today.

Some of that “unseen” footage looks like their ‘Ready Steady Go’ television performance, which is hardly unseen. It was commercially available on VHS in much better quality.

I’ve no doubt there’s some interesting material from the late (great) Mal Evans’ private stock, but I’m not going to download it six bucks at a time.

God help him… Elton John is one of the most talented artists of his time, but he needs to learn to shut up every now and then. So if Elton John ruled the world- Religion would be banned, the Internet would be shut down and dismantled and we would all have absolute cringe-worthy taste in fashion. For someone thought to be so progressive, he really is narrow-minded. He doesn’t even use a cell phone or a computer. I look at another British musical genius born in 1947 (David Bowie). Unlike Elton, Bowie is very open-minded, always embracing new technology, and is responsible for bringing to the world’s attention some of the truly great artists of our time: Arcade Fire, TV On The Radio, etc.
Elton John: Scissor Sisters.

Wasn’t this debut album by Scarlett supposed to be a Tom Waits covers album? If so, that might be worth checking out - not to mention that the cover art should be easy on the eyes.

Indeed reading is a difficult task.

Is it just me or does Elton John come up with some pretty random comments these days?

Richard | 8/2/2007, 10:44 am EST

Dumbass, where does it say that it was released by him? It says that the released footage was shot by him you fucking retard, learn to read.

Oddjob | 8/2/2007, 9:55 am EST

The Beatles footage obviously wasn’t released BY Mal Evans; he died in the 70’s. You must mean he MADE the recordings.
