You probably noticed that the twentieth anniversary of the release of Guns N’ Roses’ Appetite for Destruction has got us thinking about late-’80s hair metal just a bit. So far we’ve celebrated Guns N’ Roses’ early days on the Sunset Strip, the ladies who starred in some of the era’s biggest music videos and those that dated rockers like Axl Rose and Vince Neil, exclusive photos of Axl and Co.’s first months as a band and a longstanding metal marriage (via an interview with Slash’s wife, Perla Hudson). But if you think we forgot about the leather lace-up pants, spandex and Aqua Net, you’re quite wrong. Check out our photo gallery of must-have hair metal fashion, complete with helpful instructions for how to achieve the scene’s hottest looks.

GNR were NEVER hair metal. AR wore some makeup and teased his hair a bit in the beginning, but they were, never, ever as glamified as that.

If you do’t like hairmetal, don’t view this thread. If you hate it, why waste your time? I happen to love that hairmetal music (and look), so haters please don’t spoil it.

Forget the past | 8/13/2007, 12:23 am EST

iganboy | 8/17/2007, 6:36 am EST

Why discuss about this shit, when we can celebrate the RECKLESS ROAD book release??!!
