  • Doctors advised KISS’ Paul Stanley to pull out of a show this past weekend after his heart started beating at twice its normal rate. At the singer-guitarist’s request, the performance went on without him. Ozzy Osbourne also dealt with a medical issue, receiving a “minor outpatient procedure,” reportedly to treat a blood clot in his leg.
  • Box-set specialists Rhino Records are assembling The Heavy Metal Box, a four-disc compilation highlighting tracks from 1968 to 1991 by the likes of Alice Cooper, Iron Butterfly and Metallica.
  • The upcoming Led Zeppelin best-of collection Mothership will mark the first time the band’s music will be available on iTunes.

Richard Legner and Josh,

The Rum Diary story is about an “official” announcment. Depp was expected to be in the movie, if there was going to be a movie. If you are going to bitch and whine about something, why dont you wait for the short bus to pick both of retards back up and drop you off at Hannity’s house. If you don’t like RS, why are you dicks here?

Paul never did a drug in his life, period. And somebody who thinks Nickelback is a good band shouldn’t be throwing rocks at anyone. Rather, they should be taken into the woods and be disembowled with a wooden cooking spoon! Gene

Paul Stanley is Awesome

Ass kickers | 7/30/2007, 1:27 pm EST

Gee I wonder if Paul Stanley piled a kilo of coke up his nose prior to hitting the stage. Isn’t a dangerously high heart rate one of the reasons for taking hard stimulants?

Dude’s right Rolling Stone. As a matter of fact, I learned about the movie with casting in YOUR tribute issue to Dr. Gonzo after his death.

For the love of God, get your shit together. Just when I think you can’t suck anymore…just becasue some other website is reporting on old news doesn’t mean you have to follow suit.

Hey, that’s pretty f*cking sweet that Metallica is allowing their songs on that Rhino metal compilation.

I thought they were against file song sharing.

Look closely in the Stanley snap above and you can almost HEAR his thought process, “Wait, if I put my fingers THERE it makes an E, or maybe an A? Dammit! Guitaring is hard!”
