Over 2,400 people responded to a marketing ploy by new London venue the O2 and matched up rockers to form a single wonder-band. The second most popular combo linked up the talents of Eric Clapton, Bono, Stevie Wonder and Ringo Starr. Maybe our minds are still reeling from Damnocracy, but here’s a question: What exactly passes for a supergroup these days? Does Velvet Revolver count? Rock Star: Supernova? The Good, the Bad and the Queen? Fantômas?
