The Phil Spector Trial: We Watch Court TV So You Don’t Have To

WHAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY?
Dr. Werner Spitz became the latest of the defense’s All-Forensic Dream Team to sit in the witness chair. Spitz is a celebrity in the pathology world, having assisted on both the JFK autopsy and the OJ Simpson trial. Spitz, who “had a cold” and unfurled throaty coughs to mask questions he didn’t like, treated the jury to pictures of Lana Clarkson’s bullet-ridden tongue. All in all, Spitz unequivocally concluded that the gunshot that killed Clarkson, whether an accident or on purpose, was “self-inflicted.”

IS THIS GOOD OR BAD FOR SPECTOR?
Neither. Spitz knows what he is talking about, but unfortunately he speaks exactly like Dr. Strangelove, making it difficult for the jury (and the TV viewers) to understand what he’s saying.

MEANWHILE, OUTSIDE OF COURT:
After weeks of sitting through testimony similar to an anatomy class, the jurors might finally be rewarded with a field trip. Judge Fidler will decide later this week whether the jury will be allowed the visit the scene of the crime: Phil Spector’s mock castle in Alhambra.

Shannon, innocent people call 911. They don’t spend 40 minutes running around with a wet diaper, wiping up the bloody scene.

When Lana finally agreed to go with Spector, his driver says she said, “ok, but just one drink…I have to go to work tomorrow” and Phil angrily said. “don’t talk to the driver”….so sad that she did not change her mind then and there and ask to be driven home immediately after Phil treated her and the driver like inferiors….plus, she was in a chair with her things, looking ready to get out of his place…what did Phil need a gun and its ammo for? Even if he actually did not shoot her, what was with the gun and ammo? what kind of date is that? if he really was more than a couple feet away from her when she died, why? Why did he let her have a gun with ammo and then walk away from her? why no 911 call? why did he not suggest a ride home or to the hospital if she seemed to be acting strangely? why supply a gun with bullets? Phil, just what are you anyway?

Phil Spector is not guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

There is also a great possibility that Phil Spector may not be guilty of murder at all!!!!As he says…

For instance Punkin Pie’s testimony that Lana Clarkson told Punkin that Lana was suicidal a few days before Lana Clarkson’s death in 2003,

and Lana breaking both her wrists while she was drinking at a party in the Hollywood Hills on Christmas Eve in 2001.- before Phil Spector was anywhere near her- gives me the impression a recklessness towards her own body and maybe even attempted suicide. In 2001 a year or two before Lana had ever met Phil Spector – Lana was an actual danger to herself, but noone “committed” her for being a danger to herself. You can’t argue with this evidence as it exists!!! Ask the fireman. See the hospital record.

So I hope the jury won’t convict Phil Spector as I don’t believe he is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

rockandroller | 8/9/2007, 1:00 am EST

Hope he didn’t do it but poor Phil was always known to carry a gun and has had several
MORE THAN controlling relationships in the past. Just ask Ronnie Spector. To Know Him Is to Love Him.

Can you point me to the book you got this absolute standard from?

JLGT | 8/27/2007, 3:05 pm EST

If I were on that jury, it would take every ounce of strength I had not to roll my eyes and laugh out loud at the crap the defense has had the nerve to put forth. I’m not sure I COULD have restrained myself when his own attorney had the troll stand up and point his finger and rock steady hand like he was getting ready to shoot a gun. That’s one for the law books: How NOT to defend a client. I hope the put the creepy little psycho midget UNDER the jail.

“For instance Punkin Pie’s testimony”

Yeah that freak show was a reliable, relevent winess.
Spector most likely had someone slip her a few bucks for drug habit to say this bunk.
Spector= GUILTY

Zaffy Crabshaw | 9/28/2007, 10:26 pm EST

““For instance Punkin Pie’s testimony”

She sold her own friend {Lana} out…

She’s so “reliable” she also previously wrote that “Lana was killed at th hands of Phil Spector”
or something to that degree I forget the exact quote.
Same point regardless.
She claimed he did it,he most likely bribed her she changed her story.
