Farrell is very talented, but eccentric. It seems he has become a little too loopy with this Satellite Party project.

Perry Farrell really needs to get his act together. Satellite Party really sucks, Jane’s Addiction is the only successful band he’ll ever have.

Not to say I wouldn’t see Pearl Jam, Muse, and Ben Harper again, as well as see Iggy and the Stooges for the first time, but I can’t support anything Perry does until one of the following happens: 1) The apocalypse, 2) Jane’s Addiction gets back together and Satellite Party stops making music and burns all master tracks of their music, 3) They have the most amazing line-up

Just make another Extreme record bitch! They were great! Gary Cherone gave you all the creative freedom you needed. Take your drummer, bring in Pat Badger and Gary Cherone and make another album. If you can work with a lead singer like Perry Farrell and enjoy yourself than how is Extreme not the perfect fit for your music. Take a look. Or go and make more albums singing youself and playing guitar like a Kirk Cobain wannabe. Extreme has not made an album in 12 years, bitch you better not make another Dramagods freakin album. I enjoyed the Sattellite Party album so bring on a new version of Extreme for this era of music. Stop The World video, made in 1992, and the song is like 10 times better than anything Sattellite Party did or Nuno did. Reinvent Extreme, it’s time ahole!

Be it DramaGod, Extreme or Sebastian Bach, I don’t care what Nuno does, he’s brilliant and puts his heart and soul into everything he does. Perry Farrell is past it, he needs to give up the ghost once and for all. He and his wife were an absolute embarrassment onstage. Nuno did the right thing by leaving them to get on with it. SP were just turning into a Jane’s Addiction coverband.

So this guy Nuno leaves Extreme 12 years ago, who had made 4 amazing albums together, he leaves them in the dust, makes a solo record, forms 3 bands where he sings lead vocals and plays guitar, does that for like a decade and now leaves Sattelite Party and Perry Farrell on the eve of the Lollapalooza shows and a huge tour.

I say he is an ass.

Anyone ever hear the record III Sides To Every Story? Who wouldn’t want to have a band that fucking GREAT and tight sounding! You don’t just get up and leave that great shit behind. Great music man. It takes someone with a huge ego head to mess that shit up on his own.

I just came across this recent press release which states that Farrell managed to quickly replace Nuno:

“As is the case with all launched projectiles, parts fall off the back as the rocket climbs toward heaven,” Farrell wrote. “Our new members are Nick Perri, and Jordan Plosky.”

If only PF would have figured out that when SP played live they NEEDED a keyboardist instead of a dancing queen. Yes she is pretty and could minimumlly get by with some backing vocals but not paying a keyboardist to fill in the music (as on the CD) to have your wife along (in the band) was taking the “Story” of SP too far. The music should ALWAYS come first before the Vison when playing LIVE!

KMB – SP did have a keyboardest for the european shows(like on the album) and I think the intention is the same for the US shows. I agree Music first – but i’m sure Nuno was more miffed about SP becoming Perrys farrell’s ultra-nostalgic Janes Satellite Porno for Party.

Echo – Having someone else play guitar doesn’t always constitute have a ‘replacement’ check out the Leno performance.

Echo, I was not aware they had the keys in Europe. That is good. However, all the shows I saw here on the tele, Letterman, Carson, and then Leno there were no keys so I assumed. Yes, I did see the new guy. Kudos to him for finding time to learn the tune and rehearse with the band while getting his hair cut, straightened, dyed black and a fashion fitting for the gig. Just to make sure he resembled Nuno as much as possible but that is where the illusion ended. He got through the song and I’m sure will do fine. He CANNOT play in the pocket. At least not yet. We will see. Best of luck to him. The new drummer was fine too. Although few hit as hard as Kevin and equally play in the pocket. They will be missed at least by me. I really don’t know much about PF except that he is very visual which is fine. PF was obviously happy with the musical collaboration as was NB. Perhaps live was just not going to work out. I know that I was not please with the 5 songs I saw/heard on the tele but I really like the CD.
