  • So far in 2007, Rod Stewart has embarked on the year’s most successful tour, narrowly edging out Justin Timberlake and the reformed Police. Sting and Co. are expected to easily take the year-end crown, and unlike album sales, concert profits have improved, with a 2.9 percent increase over the same time period last year.
  • The Smashing Pumpkins, no strangers to internet outreach, are looking for the no-longer-conjoined twins that appear on the cover of Siamese Dream.
  • Rihanna’s “Umbrella” is one more chart-topping week away from overthrowing Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy” as the most successful song in the U.K. in more than a decade.
  • Approximately three million copies of Prince’s Planet Earth were given away with the U.K. newspaper The Mail on Sunday.

Hmm…funny how rs.com has removed their link to this morning’s news roundup, which included the blurb about that letter written by “Billy Corgan” in Seattle’s The Stranger…

What, you guys can’t stand the thought of people knowing you were duped? Get over it. Nobody’s perfect.

“Say My Name, Say My…Neeuuhhhh PHFFF!” …that’s tight. Poor Kelly.

I don’t wanna make fun of Kelly passing out but who was singing when everyone was bent over checking on her. Lip-synching?

Great new for Prince fans! he wants his music heard, he’s rich enough to say here’s my music just listen, enjoy…. true rock and roll rebellion, starts with upsetting the corporate apple cart!
Thank you for giving back.

Prince only gave the Cd’s away with the Newspaper to try to get the newspaper’s Sales to count toward his Record Sales… He did this before when he gave Cd’s away when you bought concert tickets, to have the concert ticket sales count towards his Cd sales… What a dope…Even Free No Thanks!!
