Pink Floyd Plan Piper Re-Release, Kanye and Knievel Work it Out, Happy Mondays Fund Cancer Treatment

  • In honor of Pink Floyd’s 40th anniversary, their first album, The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, will be re-released on August 28 as a three-disc edition with bonus tracks, an eight-page reproduction of one of Syd Barrett’s notebooks and a case designed by Floyd collaborator Storm Thorgerson that “resembles a cloth-covered book.”
  • Evil Knievel and Kanye West will use a mediator to resolve the suit Knievel filed against West for the rapper’s use of his trademarked image in the “Touch the Sky” video.
  • The Happy Mondays are generous, too: They’re helping pay for former Factory Records honcho Tony Wilson’s cancer treatment.
  • There are signs that Diddy’s Danity Kane, a.k.a. the girl group from Making the Band 3, may be en route to a breakup.

Hey Big Nate,,,,I think you just answered your own question,,,,now you know about Puff Daddy’s girl group AND Making the Band 3.

Me and you might not care about “Puff Daddy” , his “girl band”, or “Making the Band 3″, but why knock Rolling Stone for reporting on what someone else might enjoy, or better yet, why read Rolling Stone at all if you consider it not credible?

Kanye West should have to jump over three buses on motorcycle as part of his settlement with Evil Knievel.

Diddy’s Danity Kane? That’s the name of the band? What the fuck does that even mean? Just ‘breaking up’ isn’t good enough for them. We need to go back in time and remove any trace of this abomination from the history books (or blogs).

If one can get past the odd psycadelia of Piper, its probably the best floyd album with Syd Barrett songs on it. Oh wait….
