
- Destiny hasn’t been kind to Beyoncé this past week. First, Rev. Al Sharpton made a big deal about TMZ.com’s use of the word “roboho” to describe her BET Awards performance outfit, bringing more notoriety to a fashion mistake that should’ve lasted one night. Then, two fans sitting front row at the singer’s St. Louis concert were injured by wild pyrotechnics. Beyoncé did visit the fans in the hospital after the performance.
- It turns out the only people who thought Metallica’s James Hetfield was a potential shoe bomber were writers at London’s The Times, as a Hetfield rep says all stories about the singer-guitarist’s run-in with U.K airport security are “not true.” Meanwhile, “The Other New Song” by Metallica has been posted online.

- Alicia Keys, fresh off her triumphant “Gimme Shelter” duet with Keith Urban at Live Earth, has announced her new album will come out in October.
