There’s some truth to the speculation that Van Halen is going to finally launch their reunion tour with David Lee Roth this fall, a source familiar with the situation tells Rolling Stone. The group — which now includes Eddie Van Halen’s sixteen-year-old son Wolfgang on bass — nearly launched a tour this summer until Eddie announced he was going to rehab. The tour would be their first outing with Roth at the helm since 1984. Earlier this year Rolling Stone asked David Lee Roth whether the tour would happen. “I have hope and faith, and that’s more than just the name of a couple of strippers from Albuquerque,” he said.

The story that won’t die, thank f*n goodness!
Post-rehab Ed looks great (unlike the pic above where he looks like a homeless woman)and ready to take on the world(again)
Sammy and Mike announced their tour for the fall (Mike opening for Sammy and then doing a VH set with him at the end) so we could have TWO Van Halen bands touring at the same time.

Have you seen Wolfgang’s grades…
No Mike Anthony No VH | 7/3/2007, 3:40 pm EST
So, does this mean that Chinese Democracy has a release date too?
rammerhead | 7/3/2007, 3:41 pm EST
I’ve been a fan forever but at this point, who cares? Let the guys get together, come up with some worthwhile material and then hit the road. I’m not coughing up big bucks to see if they can hold it together long enough to not suck.
Bob Saget's Revenge | 7/3/2007, 3:51 pm EST
How can Mike not be involved? Ridiculous.
Dave, you are a silly bastard, but you could and should slap some sense into Eddie. I think he might be the most self sabotaging person in the history of rock. Whenever things look good, he f_cks them up again.
Bangers-N-Mash | 7/3/2007, 4:05 pm EST
I’m in no way shape or form a Van Halen fan.. but Diamond Dave is definately washed up by now. Did anyone see the ‘bluegrass’ version of Jump he did on some country show? It was very very laughable

Why do people still care for VH?
THEY don’t care about the fans. Never have.
Finally, the reunion that many have been waiting for….only to get the kid on bass. I don’t care if he’s Paco, man, that is a total slap in the face for VH fans. A real reunion (i.e. with honest intentions)would feature EVERYONE for a 3 hour show that would finally put VH back among the greatest bands in the world. But reality is that Eddie just couldn’t care less for anybody but himself. Ask Dave, ask Sammy and ask poor Gary…
Jokes on us. Again.
sy | 7/3/2007, 5:36 pm EST
who cares? theyre too old. you want a good new band. american minor. i just listened 2 their cd again 2day. good double guitar attack, pure bluesy, check em out

They had a couple of great songs with Dave, they flat out sucked without him. Not interested in seeing them more than 20 years past their expiration date.
shaggy723 | 7/3/2007, 7:13 pm EST
Van Halen sucks hard. Aside from Eddie’s cheesy finger tapping guitar work, what contribution did they really make to rock n’ roll? And as for David Lee Roth, I don’t even have to comment on that guy. What a joke.
rou | 7/3/2007, 7:23 pm EST
im so sick of this whole thing, just give it up guys!
KLiffee | 7/3/2007, 7:25 pm EST

I hope he writes new music that is cutting edge and destroys the shit that is out there now.

what happened to Michael Anthony? Why isnt
he playing?
bigaxlfan | 7/3/2007, 7:46 pm EST
i’m going to shut up after this but why are sitting at your computer trashing a band you don’t even like? there are a ton of bands that hate but don’t sit here and trash them all day, I HAVE A LIFE!!!!
Vladiato | 7/3/2007, 9:12 pm EST
Ok, well, whomever said that Eddie’s fingertapping was cheesy, go back to Fall Out Boy. Eruption is obviously fantastic, and to deny that would be out of sheer ignorance.
On another note, I thought Eddie died? Got real sick with cancer and such, thought he was gone.
Regardless, this tour won’t include Eddie Van Halen himself, so that would be a pass for me. But I wish them nothing but the best.
Laurens van Indonesia | 7/3/2007, 9:54 pm EST
Go kick ass Van Halens!
Riz | 7/3/2007, 10:02 pm EST
All of you that can’t get past their age, you are missing it. If they can keep it together, which I think they will, they will show everybody around that it’s FUN to play rock and roll again.
It seems that rock has needed David Lee Roth for some time now. We had to deal with the K-Mart version of DLR by giving Kid Rock the spotlight for years. Bring back VH.
bigdave | 7/3/2007, 11:29 pm EST
vladiato where are you getting the idea that eddie van halen wont be on this tour?
Martin | 7/3/2007, 11:39 pm EST
Wow. Great photo. Eddie looks like a wino that just found an EVH edition “Frankenstrat” in a dumpster outside the Hard Rock cafe. Even Alex looks like he’s trying to get away from him !
Michael Anthony! | 7/4/2007, 12:26 am EST

G Jonny | 7/4/2007, 1:03 am EST
This is cool if they do it. I was looking forward to their summer tour and now it can be my Christmas present. David Lee Roth and Eddie Van Halen back for real! This is what the rock world needs to wake them up cuz VH with Roth was the best hard rock band after Led Zepplin. Sammy Hagar ruined that group.
JD | 7/4/2007, 1:17 am EST
EVH looks like Where’s Waldo in that picture. Sammy and Mike should join this incarnation and make it a deluxe edition of VH.

As a 38 year old who cut his rock and roll teeth on the old school VH, I can’t wait to see this happen. I’ve seen DLR on his last two tours, and he’s still got “IT.” He may be follicly (sp) challeged, but in poor shape he’s not! With the right frame of mind, these boys can still bring it. My only desire…please don’t include “I’ll Wait” on the upcoming play list…it’s the worst popular classic VH song ever!
Red(mond) Rocker | 7/4/2007, 2:09 am EST
Oh cool. Eddie must need more cash. I bet they grace us with yet ANOTHER “greatest hits” album. Sorry guys, not this time.
WTF is going on by not having Michael Anthony tour? Just because the guy plays with Sammy? Seriously, maybe he wants to work more than once every 10 years. Face it all, Eddie could care less about his fans. It’s all about taking us for granted and finding another way to milk us. He’s no longer an “artist” he’s a street performer who’s fans always give great tips.
Kliffee | 7/4/2007, 3:46 am EST
Eddie is on some guitar magazine at Borders books. he cut his hair short, got a tan and i think his teeth capped. he looks good. too bad the interview was only about him pushing his new guitar amp line. big bore.
VH1 | 7/4/2007, 6:11 am EST
It aint the same without Mike…………..doesnt the kid have school in the fall????

DAVID LEE ROTH IS VAN HALEN.
All the mullet farmers can cry in their Zima that Spammy Haggis & the Bass player are on the outs.
Mr. Staji | 7/4/2007, 8:49 am EST
Well to me VH was always a summer time band, so them touring in the fall kind of sucks. I will still see a show if they come to town. DLR and Ed always had a great onstage chemistry. Together they were legendary. That magic left the band when Hagar became the frontman. They basically became a cheap version of Journey/Reo Speedwagon. The Hagar years were just terrible. DLR era VH rules!!! If any band can breath new life into Rock and Roll it is classic VH. Lets cross our fingers and hope that the Diamond One and The King of Six Strings can put their differences aside and resurect Hard Rock.
Mr. Staji | 7/4/2007, 8:54 am EST
Well thank God they are done with Hagar. Now let the Diamond One take over. DLR and Ed were a legendary Rock Duo and if anyone can breath new life into a pathetic music scene they can. Good luck gentlemen!!!

I WILL BELIEVE THIS WHEN THERE ACTUALLY ON THE SAME STAGE TOGETHER. SINCE 2000 THEY HAVE FAILED TO REUNITE ON 5 OCCASSIONS!
Chuckster | 7/4/2007, 9:45 am EST
Good Lord people. David Lee Roth is a joke. At least people like Gene Simmons of KISS – at least Simmons knows when to turn OFF that awful “rock star” thing. Roth was not cool in 1984, and he is not cool with his comb-over now. He isn’t a good singer. Sweet Jesus, he is approaching 60.
NOTHING is more pitiful than a 50 something failure singing about scoring teenage chicks and booze. NOTHING.
David Lee Roth is a cautionary tale. At least Hagar was a good musician, guitarist, and sang about something besides boobs and beer.
This is sad, and clearly for the money. For YEARS Eddie has said the ONLY reason to get back with Dave would be for money and he said he would NEVER do that to the fans.
Well Eddie, how much money is enough. And kicking Mikey out of the band. Eddie has lost touch not only with his audience, but with reality as a whole. Did anyone notice how it was ALWAYS Dave’s fault when Eddie spoke about the breakup. And it was ALWYAS Sammys fault when he talked about that breakup. And they couldnt even make it work with Gary Cherone.
Eddie ran off THREE different lead singers. He is a failure at this point. He failed me, and a fan.
Let it go Eddie
Old Rocker | 7/4/2007, 10:10 am EST
Never say never. $$$ changes everything, and rehab ain’t free…
sinner's swing | 7/4/2007, 10:11 am EST
Chuckster, first find me a picture of Dave with a combover, Second, Sammy sang about more than boobs and beer? HAHAHA. I love Sammy too but go listen to Up For Breakfast. Black and Blue, Finish What Ya Started. etc etc etc. And anything he’s put out in the last 10 years is a Tequila ad. And Gene Simmons knows when to turn off the “rock star”? What alternate reality do you live in???
This Dream is Over!!! | 7/4/2007, 10:20 am EST
Dave is HAS BEEN!!!!! Saw him with VH and solo. He needs to hang it up!! And believe it or not I’m a fan of the Original VH. I’m also a fan of the Hagar years..Sorry Van Halen 4 is a no go from the start.
Rocknroller | 7/4/2007, 10:27 am EST
Look at all nay sayers here. It makes no difference if Dave or Sam is in the band. VH is successfull either way. I am not a Van Hagar fan though, Roth rocks. I really think it’s pathetic that someone would worry about Dave’s comb over for possibly one of the greatest reunions ever. Lets face it, it’s about Dave and Ed we are looking forward seeing. I like Mike, but it really is not a big deal that he’s not with them. I think it’s awesome Wolfie’s touring with VH. That is special to Ed I’m sure, stop being so selfish and think of VH. Mike chose to go off with Sam, I don’t hear anyone crying about that, saying well thats not VH with only Sam and Mike. Get over it people. I think it’s great their together again, think back to what we were doing when they were together in 1985. I was 13. I still rock today at 34, I think it is a real treat to have my band still kicking ass after all those years. As far as Dave goes, I’m ure their are not many lead singer’s that are in as good shape as he or that can still deliver it as he does. Who cares if he doesn’t have the best voice, it’s still damn good. If you don’t like the line up, go see the Police or some other tour. So god bless VH and the fans, I have been waiting for this for a long time.
Cletus | 7/4/2007, 10:32 am EST
DLR would be just some other wanna be vocalist without Eddie. Eddie is VH.
Now… if Eddie would just clean up his act, lay off the booze and ego trip then everything would be fine.
dmx | 7/4/2007, 11:03 am EST
Dave does not have a comb over, its a weave.
the real van halen | 7/4/2007, 11:06 am EST
cmon-there is no good music these days. They may be old but they will bring it. DLR will be great and it will be cool to see the real band back…

ski | 7/4/2007, 11:19 am EST
So vanhalen are now going to tour with a 53 year old man, who has never been married, has no children and lives with his sister, and changes his hair weave style once a month. Should be interesting with the messy, unfocused vanhalen
bantonelli | 7/4/2007, 11:31 am EST
DAVE – ED….It’s simple:
You don’t get any better than these two on stage! This will be THE Concert of all “Reuniting” Concerts of late.
Bassplayer not involved? No problem. Go to the “Other Half” tour and you’ll see your Hot Sauce Man.
Fresh Blood in the mix with Wolfie is GREAT and inspiring Ed to do better for himself and his well being….so be it.
DAVE’s got his act together and has for years! He’s the front bumper of VAN HALEN and helped put them on the map from the GET GO and everyone knows it.
You guys desperate to grab at straws looking for something to make Dave look like he’s past his prime is a total joke! Come up with something more intelligent than talking about his hair, which by the way, looks fantastic right now. Dave’s Tour last summer was amazing and he was in prime shape for it – physically and vocally.
C’est la vie, Van Hagar…Ciao.
THE TWO POWERHOUSES ON STAGE ARE GONNA BLOW YOU AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This Dream is Over!!! | 7/4/2007, 11:38 am EST
Please…Sammy kicked this band up a few notches when he joined…even your almighty Edward said that. Combover Lee Roth was the candy rock era of VH. Sorry but The Van Halen Family featuring EMT Davie is a joke!!!
lfjks | 7/4/2007, 11:40 am EST

Daves got his fingers on the pulse. He listens to hip hop and modern dance music like the chemical brothers
bantonelli | 7/4/2007, 11:55 am EST
LOL!!! Yeah, Spamella took VH to a whole new Hallmark Lyric’d, sobbing-”hand me a tissue” soft rock. The kind you hear while your in the Dentist chair…give me a break.
I’ll give Sammy credit for his solo work and Montrose, but Van Hagar????
If Ed was so convinced that Sam took VH to new heights – wouldn’t he be asking him back, rather than ROTH ????? Hmmmm….isn’t that a hard question to answer?
TRUTH prevails…Ed knows as well as anyone that the only Frontman for this band from the beginning of their success was/is ROTH.
Classic Rock Stations play sets of VH…who do they play? Take a wild guess….VH-ROTH era because it’s the one requested.
Van Hagar fans have Cabo.
Van Halen fans have ROTH…(again…period.)
J | 7/4/2007, 12:00 pm EST
What i really wants to see is Dave leap through the air, and his hair weave fall onto Eddies head as they play jump
DG | 7/4/2007, 12:28 pm EST
There’s at least 2 dozen reasons to catch this tour…Runnin with the Devil, Eruption, You really Got Me, Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love, I’m the One, Jamie’s Cryin’, Atomic punk, Ice cream Man, You’re No Good, Dance the Night Away, Somebody Get Me a Doctor, Bottoms Up, Beautiful Girls, And the Cradle Will Rock, Everbybody Wants Some, Pretty Woman, Full Bug, Mean Street, Sinners Swing, Hear About it Later, Unchained, So This is Love, Panama, Hot for Teacher…
should I go on??? LMAO. The show will be worth every penny, IMO.
Looking forward to seeing what Wolf can do.
Jake Burns | 7/4/2007, 12:29 pm EST

rgoldy | 7/4/2007, 12:42 pm EST

JJ | 7/4/2007, 1:10 pm EST
The truth: They are greedy old men looking to cash-in on a multi-million $ tour. The VH brothers even kicked Michael Anthony out of the group so they could make more. It’s not like Eddie has to pay his son or anything.
The sad thing is, I would still love to see them live given the state of rock. Now that is sad.

Hang 'Em High | 7/4/2007, 1:53 pm EST
Just another reunion from another band without all the members of the definitive lineup (CVH, in this case), no new material and no excuse other than making money. Sad, because I hoped that when it came time for CVH to reunite, they’d do it right.
TOP JIMMY | 7/4/2007, 1:59 pm EST
Trust me there will be a new album if the tour is completed They even have a new album in the vaults they recorded five years ago
dpc915 | 7/4/2007, 2:15 pm EST
if they made an album five years ago its probably dated and crap if they didn’t put it out in the first place…..I hope they scrap it and record new versions of the tunes or whole new songs where they work together on material like in the old days….now if no new record appears thats fine too…JUST TOUR ALREADY BEFORE YOU ARE ALL TOO OLD!

VH w/ Sammy Hagar: lame, corny vomit ballads written for top 40 consumption.
VH w/D.L.Roth: Real, groundbreaking, head bangin’ rock.

The Edge started loosing his hairs in ‘84 when he was 23 years old and
I did not stop listening to U2…
So with or without hairs and teeth, I will go to see Van Halen on tour if they come to France.
In fact, to play music, you just need fingers…

yeah, but U2 are actually a great band. VH can’t even put out an album once a decade.

I missed them out the first time around through ‘84-’85. While I was living in Brazoria County they played the fairgrounds there in ‘78, just 6 miles away, and it was huge. They were still touring the 1st Lp heavily then, picking up fans in every corner and extreme location coast to coast across the USA. I was very young, and DAVID LEE ROTH was the best singer Van Halen ever had. Thankfully, they’ve faced the MUSIC and realized they are made for each other! I hope to catch a VH/Roth show coming up! I was totally disappointed after they cancelled this past January. PLEASE DON”T F**K IT UP AGAIN!!!

It won’t be the same without Mike, but 3/4 of VH is better than no VH at all. I had my heart ripped out this summer when I thought that the tour was not going to happen at all. I’ll be at as many shows as possible. I love the Hagar version of VH, I love the DLR version of VH….I just love listening to the great music those guys made. Hopefully, they’ll even try writing some new songs.

I think Wolfie`s inclusion will revitalise van halen. Eddie is not an idiot,so His playing must be the equivalent to MA`S, The concern I have is how mike`s vocal harmonies are going to be replaced. Is ED planning on using backing tapes or singers?

KKK – Just to enlighten you, Dave does NOT live with his sister…sorry. Grabbing at straws still ??? Try getting your facts straight – but desperate attempts to make Dave look bad does nothing but reflect on your lack of intelligence. ED & AL want this Tour with DAVE…Yep, you heard it correctly…it’s Dave or the Grave!!
Oh..by the way, should I also enlighten you by mentioning that Van Hagar tunes will NOT be included on this Tour….if that isn’t heavenly music to our ears, I don’t know what is

AeroFanBob | 7/5/2007, 11:42 am EST
Another train wreck on the way. Way overpriced tickets, I’m sure. Vocals are important, and it’s gonna sound like crap. The Other Half puts on a better show, unless you’re into a croth-grabbing frontman who can’t sing like DLR.

Ed is now a little short of cash, so his only option is to milk the fans for every penny he can get. Hmm! I guess ed has spent the last 12 years rehearsing for this tour

OK all you young little ‘Whipper Snappers’ here’s the real dealio..
I’ve seen Van Halen with DLR at the helm 5 times, true he wasn’t ‘always’ on point but he put on a hell of a show and the band was soooo incredible that it all gelled into some of the BEST live hard rock performances I’ve EVER seen to date. The 1984 tour was Dave’s best, hit every note, sang every lyic flawlessly!

To those who KEEP ON saying,
“ther’re old and shouldn’t tour”…
So U2, The Stones, Aerosmith, etc. should just hang it up, not tour because they have aged??
That’s so retarded. This tour WILL do well and MANY will pay to see it. PS- believe me, ED don’t need the money, he’s sold like 80 million albums, use yer head!
Paul | 7/5/2007, 1:20 pm EST
Mike was kicked out of the band because he became Sammys new drinking buddie. Eddie has launched unprovoked attacks on Dave, Garry, Sammy and Mike over the last few years, who next, himself?

Kruzinski | 7/5/2007, 1:43 pm EST
The show will be what the show will be. Unless you can get up there and do it yourself, well, talk is cheap. Personally, I’m a lot more worried what George Bush is doing to this country, than I am about worrying over a Van Halen reunion tour. Its 2007, and its going to sound the way its going to sound. This is Van halen`s last chance to re-establish themselves as a major force. This is Dave`s last shot at a the big time musically, and they better know it. GUYS PLEASE GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER ITS YOUR LAST CHANCE!

David comb over Roth is so desparate he is on as much as 22 per cent less than the others per show, Eddie has his head screwed on, and Dave is on the tour as a hired hand, just like mike was on the 2004 tour. Ed will milk the Roth nostalgia thing then, reunite with sammy for a van hagar tour!

Couldn’t help but read all these bs comments. Van Halen is about to show all these young bands how the big boys do it. Hammy Hagar had a decent run but lets face it, NOBODY CARED. Nobody cared for that poser then nobody cares now. The voice of Van Halen is now and forever shall be that of Diamond David Lee Roth. So Hammy, grab one of your last bottles of Cabo Wabo, eat anothe burger and enjoy a real Van Halen show.

To Hammy Hagar: Out there in some trailer park in the deep Midwest, there is someone fatter than you waiting for your solo gig to hear I Can’t Drive 55. Honestly. And Gary, do us a favor play your local weddings and sing More Than Words and call it a night. Dave is back. Van Hagar is dead and real Rock has returned.

Dave and Ed appear to have burried their differences. I think they have finally realised this is their last chance to compete as a super group. If they had reformed 10 years ago they would have been as big as any rock band. However, they have wasted another 10 years, which means the teen generation are a little less familar with their music than they would have been in the mid 90`s. Hope they roll their sleeves up and make a few studio albums over thee next few years. Van halen still have more potential than the likes of Areosmith, if they make a move now!

seen every tour except when they opened for Black Sabbath, twice on the last one and 3 times on hagars first one with them. A VAN HALEN show is nothing without Roth saying “I forgot the fucking words” in the middle of a song. The real Halen is with Roth, and I love Sammy but…. IT IS NO REUNION WITHOUT MICHAEL ANTHONY. They can switch singers but not players. $100 a seat for wolfgang, bullshit. Ya I will be front row again. Wolffy better not step on my hand like Cherone did

All you DLR fans, don’t get too excited. I know he’s a great frontman and his showmanship and attitude are great. But are his vocal chords really up to a bunch of 2 hour shows? Won’t MA’s backing vocals be missed? For it to be a successful tour and not a train wreck, the vocals gotta be good. Got my doubts, and I wouldn’t if Sammy & Michael there.

AeroFanBod,
Showmanship and attitude are what Hammy does NOT have,Just HEARING him sing “Jump”,”Everybody wants some”,and “Panama” was a joke,…,
ie…”and her,and her!”Give me a fucking break! He is about as much of a womanizer as George Michael, only fatter, and even George Michael would sing Panama and be more believable, and actually pick up a chick …
Thank God I would have never shelled out $100 to see that crap!I wouldn’t have seen Hammy solo live for FREE! “Why can’t this be love”? what a load of crap! That was not the TRUE VH attitude whatsoever!
DLR Back with the fold is 80-90% better than WITH HAMMY! and yes I do agree,Michael’s backup vocal will be sorely missed…He may be there, who knows?Or Wolfie may be better vocally than we know?
We have already seen stranger things that have happened with Van Halen camp!
Rat Salade | 7/7/2007, 2:29 am EST
Just my take on things:
First off, to the nay-sayers who HAVEN’T seen Van Halen in their glory days- SHUT UP. Period. I remember seeing both Van Halen (the original line up) when they were “Rat Salade” at the Whiskey- and if you’d seen what I did, then anyone (and I mean ANY-FRAGGIN’-ONE) who has seen Van Hagar will agree that there is NO comparison. Sam is a HUUUUUUGE vocal talent, there’s no question…however, the self-proclaimed (and rightly so, I might add..) “King of the IMMORAL MAJORITY” is also the “King of Howdy-Doody Mountain” (REAL Van Halen fans will know what that’s about…suck on that…) is what the boys are (or were) all about- huge vocals, huge presence…Sam just is HUUUGE vocals- and carried the boys for a lot of years…but, as with anything…it’s time to let the boys do what it is they do best…ROCK THE SHITE OUTTA EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING AROUND THEM!!!!
So…back to what I was saying- Rat Salade was the original Van Halen. And I’ve seen Rat Salade, Van Halen, Van Hagar and Van (with what’s his name?) I-guess-you’d-call-it-shite-Ch erone….
there is NO doubt….there should BE no doubt…
For the nay sayers…again…SHUT UP YOU INEXPERIENCED PIECES OF SHITE!!!!! Listen to Van Halen (up to 1984), then listen to the Van Hagar (and the other guy)….tell me…which one of those era’s grabs you by the short and curlies, spins you around the room, slams you against the ceiling a couple of times, then ucerimoniously dumps you at the dinner table in time to say. “WA WA ZAT!?!?!?”…..yeah, I thought so, too…..

Hope the reunion lasts and they treat us to new studio material over the next few years. Michael Anthoneys contribution has been over exagerated. Wolfie`s inclusion is a good thing as he will breath new life into the music, Mike`S vocals are not heard in concert, as the crowd sings along, he looks too middle aged for this party band, he has a mullet hair style and is fat, go and work with Sammy as his personal assistant/bassist!
AeroFanBob | 7/7/2007, 11:37 am EST
Joel Coy…
Enjoy the show. Hope the tour is not a disaster, but I wouldn’t be shocked if the wheels fall off either before it gets started or mid-way. Too many things can go wrong. With these guys, all you can do is roll the dice.
Jim2kpilgrim | 7/7/2007, 12:32 pm EST
I’ve seen all the tours. I’ve loved VH since the first time I heard “You really got me” on the radio. I had no idea it was a remake, lol. At 43 however, I’m far less excited about a VH reunion. Without Michael, I don’t think it can even be called “a reunion.” I’ll pay the price to see these guys because they are my favorite band of all time. I’m not expecting to see the VH in 2007 that I saw in 1980-1984 though!!! That would be a set up for a HUGE disappointment. Do your best boys…and ROCK like you did on the FAIR WARNING tour!

I saw Diamond Dave last year & his vocals sounded pretty good. It started out kinda’ mediocre but got better as the show went on. It looked like he was sippin’ on a bottle of Jack Daniels between songs that he had back by the drums. Maybe it helped. lol. If this tour ensues he’s gonna’ have to find a better place to hide his booze from Eddie. Should be interesting

too funny he does seem like a headcase. Just a little fact if you think Eddie looked bad in the past you should have seen David in New York walking to his radio gig on a windy day. That fool had one hand on his head hoping his weave would not blow off. Buddy of mine snapped a pic with his cell phone and I’ll get him to e-mail it too me.
Myself not interested without a real reunion.

Im not banking on anything until they hit the stage. I got my hopes up too many times. Being Eddie is not drinking now, I’m suprised that he is going through with this. All the old Halen tunes were about Drinking and Partying. Bank on Edward being back in rehab before the tour is over. Van Halen was the PARTY BAND. Sammy came in the band and Edward did the family thing and all of of a sudden the songs got sappy about love. Are they going to ban Jack Daniels from the stage?

1. Sammy Hagar is at the helm of the successful 70’s band, “Montrose”. Their first album is produced by Ted Templeman (remember the name Templeman).
2. VH forms in the late 70’s and plays parties, school gigs and the Hollywood strip. DLR suggested the band’s name be changed originally from “Mammoth” to Van Halen. DLR kicks himself in the ass to this day because of his recommendation.
3. Gene Simmons (KISS) takes interest in them and produces demos suggesting they change their name to “Daddy Longlegs”.
3a. There are rumors already at this point that a guy named Hagar should front the band as he’s got more experience and has worked with this guy named “Templeman”. (Rumor and speculation ONLY.)
4. Van Halen I is recorded and produced circa 1978 by that same guy named Ted Templeman. The band’s work, along with Templeman’s production skills make the recording a MEGA-success.
5. Van Halen takes off and is now headlining arenas.
6. Jump to “Diver Down”, Van Halen’s WEAKEST album of the DLR era produced only to make a record. Despite having a few good songs on it, there are no less than 5 song remakes on it. This lousy album (in comparison to their others) is also indicative of the in-fighting in the band’s musical direction.
7. “Jump” to 1984. The band redeems themselves for the lack-luster “Diver Down” and comes out with “Jump”, the band’s first #1 single ever. Ironically it was DLR himself who protested the introduction of keyboards to the bands music.
8. 1984/1985 sees DLR’s “Crazy From The Heat”. Enough interest is generated in it that it gives Dave the false-security to think he can make it solo and that VH’s success relied upon him. DLR leaves VH. Remember, DLR LEAVES VH THINKING HE COULD DO BETTER!!!
9. 1985. Original VH fans scream, “WTF?!?!?!?!”
10. 1985. My turntable, along with millions of other 80’s hard rock fans, plays “1984″ and “VOA” side by side.
11. Still 1985. Hagar and EVH both have mechanical problems with their Ferraris. A Ferrari mechanic named “Claudio” sees EVH and knowing he’s without a singer tells him he’s got Hagar’s phone number and that EVH should “give him a call.” EVH calls Hagar and history is made.
12. “5150″ debuts! I, along with all those other VH fans who were left high and dry rejoice that another prominent 70’s/80’s music icon takes the mic and is able to help the band forge a new direction. Other VH fans polarize thinking they’ve been robbed and forget that DLR LEFT VAN HALEN ON HIS OWN, FREE ACCORD.
13. “OU812″, “F.U.C.K.”, and other #1 Van Halen albums follow with Sammy! DLR makes “Eat’em and Smile”, “Skyscraper” and a few other barely recognized albums. DLR gains his notoriety by becoming a bigger clown as he becomes one of “The Fabulous Picasso Brothers” and creating a few very funny videos. Even DLR’s plans of putting Billy Sheehan and Steve Vai (both absolutely AMAZING musicians) together could not break him out of mediocre-dom.
14. Van Halen’s manager, Ed Leffler, dies. This throws the band into a severe depression. Leffler was Hagar’s manager before VH and all the others in VH had the utmost respect for this man. Leffler’s death was a severe blow during the time that “Balance” was recorded/produced, and was the reason Eddie shaved his head back then (true!).
15. The band now manager-less, Alex Van Halen’s brother-in-law (Rush producer) Ray Danniels is looking for a job. Danniels takes over the helm as the band’s manager. Almost immediately sparks fly between Danniels and Hagar because of differences in the band’s direction. Danniels wants the band to make “Got Milk?” ads, Sammy doesn’t. Danniels wants a greatest hits compilation, Sammy doesn’t.
16. Knowing of Hagar’s disagreements in managing, Danniels goes behind Hagar’s back (while Hagar was still in the band) and invites DLR to do some new songs on “BOBW I”. Danniels apparently doesn’t explain the full deal to DLR and keeps the recordings a secret from Hagar.
17. 1996 MTV VMA’s. VH makes an appearance on stage with DLR. DLR is obviously oblivious to Danniels’ shennanigans and thinks he’s in the band. DLR acts cocky and steals every bit of spotlight that he can while Eddie looks on with closed body language and keeping his hands in the pockets of his white overalls.
18. A month or so later… WHAT??? Maybe Danniels LIED??? Nooooooo!!! Say it’s not true!!! DLR submits a letter to the press essentially saying he was duped by Danniels into thinking he was back in the band.
19. 1996, Father’s Day Morning… According to Hagar, he received a call from a very drunk EVH who told him, “you’ve always been a solo artist, why don’t you go back to being one?”, which sparked the controversy of did Hagar quit or was he fired? It’s all moot.
20. Enter Danniels again… Now with Hagar gone and not causing any problems, Danniels conveniently suggests putting Cherone at the helm of VH; Danniels had conveniently been managing his career efforts also.
21. VH bites on Cherone and releases “VH III”. The almighty Van Halen had been suckered into believing that they could put a trained chimp on the mic and that their power to make albums could not be diminished. “VH III” disappeared into obscurity and Cherone bowed out. There was nothing wrong with Cherone, as this was merely a lesson in that VH (Alex and Eddie) by themselves are not good enough to sell records. Cherone is a very good performer, but had some really big shoes to fill in the wake of DLR and Hagar.
22. VH disbands again. Eddie makes “1000s of songs”, but they’re nowhere to be found. Years go by and VH does nothing.
23. 2004 brings a brief reunion with Hagar and “BOBW II” which includes 3 new tracks of which Michael Anthony didn’t play on. The reunion is ill-conceived and hastily prepared. Ed and Sam keep their distance from each other throughout the tour and the tension between the two is evident on-stage. Also evident on-stage were Ed’s lousy performances because he was drunk more often than not, and ALIENATING fans even further.
24. Rather than stay Eddie’s b*tch and be pulled into nothingness, Mike Anthony joins forces with Hagar and forms “The Other Half”. Ed comes out with maybe 3 new songs that he made for a porn flick, which by the way, aren’t that good.
25. 2007. VH is to be inducted into the RRHOF. Why waste an opportunity to make money and come out with a tour the same year? We know that it didn’t work with Hagar in 2004, so the obvious answer is DLR! And we know that both DLR and VH haven’t done anything in years, so it makes obvious sense, right?
From my point of view, I’m not looking to see the resurrection of my youth by thinking that the 2007 VH tour will be like those in the 80’s. I’m also not looking for it to be nostalgic to me and I’m not going to it to tell my grandchildren that I saw the final performance of VH with Roth.
I’m going for entertainment value and quite literally, that has severely slacked in recent years because of all the garbage behind the scenes.
I’m not going to any show where Eddie is drunk off his ass and can’t play. The 2004 tour with Sammy proved that more often than not, Ed’s playing wasn’t worth a damned and why would I play to see one of the greatest guitarists NOT BE ABLE TO PLAY?
Given the existing clash of egos between DLR and EVH, Ed will need super powers to NOT drink, and with DLR sportin’ Jack Daniels around the stage (real Jack of just a prop), it’s gonna be weird.
I’m not enthused because of my experiences with them in the past. I’m hopeful that they’ll come out with all new material, but doubtful it will happen given their track record.
There’s just no substance to these guys any longer.
David Weave Roth | 7/9/2007, 12:40 am EST
If you think you are going to get the cool Dave off of the old videos and albums, well- there was reason they did not have a live David Lee Roth Album. Because Dave talks, not sings. When Dave recorded, they had to record line by line because he was so off key. Mike Anthony should be back, and Eddie should stop selling hand painted guitars (i swear, it was real!) on ebay.He was playing them and then selling them on the last tour.I wonder how much they will Gouge their fans THIS time.Does he need THAT much money. It has become insulting. Go see OZZFEST for free (thanks OZZY). That shoulod give RocknRoll a good shot in the arm, not this drunken embarassment.
Hey- Van Drunky
Michael Anthony BELONGS there, thats why. Why his 15 year old kid ?!?! Why not a REAL Bass Player like Billy Sheehan ?
And Dave IS embarassing, How does an old Van Halen member show up on a-get this- COUNTRY TRIBUTE album ? Message to Dave- You were in a REAL version of Van Halen- Why would you do a Tribute COUNTRY album ? Because maybe you can’t sing.

NO MIKE = JOKE REUNION. I HAVE LOVED THIS BAND FOREVER,WHATEVER,WHOEVER BUT I AM ALSO SICK OF THE VAN HALENS REPLACING PEOPLE. WORK THINGS OUT FOR ONCE AND DO THE REAL THING OR REMAIN IN YOUR USUAL DORMANT STATE. KISS MY ASS FOR THINKING WE YOUR FANS ARE SO STUPID AS TO ENDURE THIS ANY LONGER. I HOPE THE TOUR FLOPS.

THANK GOD SAMMY JOINED VAN HALEN
THE TRUTH | 7/9/2007, 9:32 am EST
Mike was kicked out the band because he became the best of friends with Sam. Eddie got jealous of their relationship.Sam and Ed were once real close(living next door to one another)I suppose Ed could not stand the sight of Mike, as he reminded Ed of Sam. Eddie is an alcholic because he is a mess. The problems in this band are always personal!

There`s a bounty out on David Gay Roth`s hairpeice. There`s a $1000 dollar reward out for anyone, who gets on the stage and removes it during the current tour!
Sharon | 7/9/2007, 9:54 am EST
This tour should have happened 10 years ago, Dave`s lost his voice and wears his sister`s wigs, by all accouunts. Eddie is a junkie, a mess, and out to screw the fans for all the money he can. Dave`s at least 53(officially) and is no longer the performer of 20 years ago, Eddie needs his son to point out on his i pod, the riffs he use to play. There all in their twilight years and seem washed up. No new studio album, what! They just wanna line their pockets before they retire

Oh yeah, “The real band is back”. You must be doing smack with Eddie right now.
Oh, sorry to inform you, but Wolfie didn’t even exist in 1984.
Dave is doing this because he is on his last leg. Eddie, as well. This is not the band you saw pre 1984. Look at Eddie, he is so disheveled that they asked him to leave a Guitar Center in Boston on the last tour. No one recognized him. He started eating a sandwich out of his pocket. They thought he was a bum. They asked him to leave.
Dave is now a paramedic. He couldn’t handle a solo career. He can’t hit the notes anymore.Eddie would probably say he never could.
To be truthful, he never could.Eddie never released live material in that era because of that.
If you think there was magic before, you are living a dream.
There is magic now, watch “POOF” Michael anthonys gone.He is now the 15 year old child of Ed and Val. POOF, now your wallet is missing. You have been ripped off by buying a ticket.
Who can really support ANOTHER perssonel change in Van Halen.
Not I.
DABOMB.COM | 7/9/2007, 11:35 pm EST
VAN HALEN ROCKS! 5150 is the BEST ALBUM and It should be HAGAR instead of DAVID LEE ROTH! HAGAR IS SOOO MUCH OF A BETTER SINGER! I CANNOT WAIT TO GET MY HANDS ON A TICKET! Most of you say that they will suck merely because of their age, who cares! Look at the STONES They are about the same age and they are still ROCKING! Sure Eddie WAS a junkie but hes clean now, I’m sure he will still be awesome! IF you diss Van Halen, then don’t listen to ‘em its as simple as that. Didn’t your mother ever tell you “If you can’t say something nice, then don’t say anything at all!”

Complain what you will..
However, Van Halen’s 100+ songs will always sound better to me than any others. When Ed an Al next take to the stage and play some of them again for their real fans, I hope none of you whining losers will be taking up the good seats!
Relationships and People change over time. Get over it and out of yourselves, and just keep rocking!!!
Johnny G | 7/10/2007, 9:12 am EST
I don`t think i wanna see this plane crash, Eddie`s an alcholic and a crystal meth addict. David Gay Roth is a over bloated, dirty, hair piece wearer. His hair peice actually fell off, while he did some of his martial arts on stage last year. Ed wants to milk the fans for every penny he can before he retires. There are no plans for new material, all the money will be made from live shows, and compilations over the next few years! These guys are a joke, Dave`s vocals are all over the place, he is to lazy to work out for his shows now days, he runs a little on stage and does a few karate kicks, and thats all. i`m not giving these low life`s my money. Keep your memories of this band in tact and don`t attend the shows!

Open Letter to NH VH Fan
don’t be a lemming. this reunion 10 years ago would have kicked ass.Ball has been dropped.
whats the fuss about mike ? he played with hagar. didn’t they have an open invite to the vh’s to play with them whenever they wanted.i think the same offer was there on the sam and dave tour.
it just seems eddie thinks he can throw anything at the fans and it will stick. look at gary cherone. i heard eddie say that wolfie would sing if dave wasn’t going to do it.bringing a 15 year old kid on stage ? even if it is his kid.Hanson becomes more reputable !
i just feel as a fan, let down and that the magics gone.do i like the roth days, sure. but these are not the same roth days. dave is silly now.gameover
i won’t pay for that. they shouldn’t be rewarded
Daves a Mess-can’t keep a job, Eddies a Mess-can’t keep a full glass. There was so much animosity before. It just seems so cheap to me.
I saw Wolfie play 513, he came out and nealed by his dad. Then went off stage. I thought it was hokey.
Just tell me why Michael Anthony’s not back.
A real good explanantion.
It taints the whole show. It might as well be Gary Cherone.
Is Eddie that too far gone to see reality ? He is just hurting the real, true Van Halen fans with this.
The guys who loved 1,2, Woman, diver,fair,84 want to hear and see Mike.
Not only does he belong there, but it’s a feel good. They came back out solid. Now we are subjected to a 15 year old persona non grata.
Eddie, whats going on ?
I can’t go. No, I won’t go now.
Sorry
I can not suppor this

What has happened to my favorite band ? Dave DID play on his own tribute album, and it was country. That is true. That makes no sense.
Eddie looks, well, really like a drunk. How can Alex let this happen. Is everybody just an Eddie Puppet ? Bring Mike back or call it something else. I can not support the merry go round of band members that Ed tries to sell us as Van Halen. Enough ! VH fans unite, and don’t go.

Ed foists sh-ee-it onto the fans to see of they will take it. We didn’t accept Gary, and they are going to release ANOTHER best of.
Lets do it again- boycott this mess- and MAYBE they will start making REAL albums again.
I am a Same AND Dave fan. Let us THANK GOD Sammy kept the great Van Halen on top when Dave left them high and Dry. Think about what could have happened- The Polices Lead singer went on ton greatness. Dave went ont to Lameness.

I saw DLR at the house of Blues few years ago , completely awesome better than any VH show I have ever seen, Dave sang as good as he ever has , which to some may not be that good , DLR’s band was much better than any VH version I have ever seen, To me this is a step down for DLR as far as covering the material , Eddie cant play like he used to. VH owes DLR for there career……with out him Eddie would have been just another great LA guitarist with no Career , and I know there are a ton of those……

There`s no way i`m goin to see van halen in their current state. Last time I saw Dave he looked pale, fat, wrinkled and had an awful comb over, with a bald patch at the back. Eddie is a mess, and i`m not just talk`in about is rotten few teeth!

It’s about Rock, not rodents..
Face it: All of my childhood bands have grown old. Obviously. And yet the music is still what they play best, and is best played by them.
Some bands still have original members, while others have replaced some for whatever reasons.
Hell! At 16 and a half, Son of Edward Van Halen, Nephew of Al, Heir to VH Family genes? I bet The Kid kicks ass!!
I can’t wait, and, if I knew how to score front row tickets without having to gas anyone I happened to hate just because I have personal issues with them, I would be there LOVING EVER MINUTE OF IT!

Open Letter to the Open Letter Guy.
You are living in the past. You think of the David Weave Roth in videos. Oh, How cool ?
Its not the same seeing Van Halen with Roth. Do you think by propping up that goofball your getting the real Van Halen. Oh, you would. A guy who can’t sing a note , can’t kick, can’t do anything. Maybe Roth in 1978 was , well, acceptable. Roth is now a bobbing head mess.Do you think magic is going to come from a washed up old singer. I saw Dave on the Sam and Dave tour. That Night he headlined. OUCH. I and half the stadium walked out. He was embarassing. Keep In MIND, I wanted to see Dave Kill !! DAVE WAS SILLY ! He talked through the songs. He messed up the lyrics. He was off key. I was there !
Any reunion WITHOUT Michael Anthony will lose the Van halen “Feel”. Remember- The first notes you ever heard on a Van Halen Album is the Mike Anthony bass notes for Running with the devil.
Listen, if your looking at an old VH album now, thats the best were ever gonna get. I can’t help if you can not face reality.
If you won’t turn your back on Roth, why would you turn your back on Mike.
No Mike-No show from a REAL fan.
I got over it- I’m not going !
Bigger Than Jesus | 7/10/2007, 8:36 pm EST
CJ Davidson wrote “Van Halen is my God
Eddie is my Jesus”
Is that because, Like God, you pray and pray and pray and never get a response ?
And Eddie should be Crucified on here- he deserves it ! And Didn’t he deny Dave for the third time ?
And turned his back on Mike. And threw out Sammy- the guy that when Roth left VH high and dry and everyone was saying they would fall flat on their face, came in and took them to platinum status.
Eddie is more Like Charles Manson with his antisocial behaviour.
Van Halen is more like a false prophet.
Van Hitler | 7/10/2007, 8:48 pm EST
I loved Extreme. Gary should have been a a natural fit.Gary Cherone is a class act and could sing incredibly well. His work in Extreme really rocked, unfortunately “More than words” got them labeled as a band they totally were not.
Is it just about Roth and Eddie ? No !
Mike sang back up vocals. Mike played with the band up until now.Mike waited for Eddie for years. The guy was super loyal.
Most people do not know that to play the last tour, Ed made Mike sign away all his rights to VH, saying that was the last tour. Mike did it. he says he thought the band was finished, and he wanted to go out with VH. He said he did it for the fans. He took a huge paycut, and became a salaried employee.
And what about Dave- if He was still scary great, go see Roth with a great guitarist like Vai. The only problem with that, nobody wants to work with Dave personally and professionally.Dave is really washed up.He couldn’t even tour. He was fired from his Vegas Lounge show act. There are so many tired performers in Vegas that have shows that last for 15-20 years.Dave lasted a few weeks.
So, you want to prop Ed up once more, grab Dave from the dumpster and it’s supposed to be pre 1984, and then get rid of an original member ?
And a 15 YEAR OLD REPLACEMENT, um oh yeah – HIS KID ?!?!?!? In Van Halen ?!?!?!??
Replacing Michael Anthony with HIS 15 YEAR OLD KID ! And people actually talking about how his genes should make him sound great ?!?!?!? How shameful is putting a 15 year old kid in Mikes shoes. This is just a recipe for disaster.
Any true Van Halen fan should send a message and put there foot down and not go.
I can’t buy this.The rest of us shouldn’t either.

Ralph Snart | 7/10/2007, 9:06 pm EST
Once again we’re being teased with a return of Van Halen – which is my favorite rock group. Somehow I can’t/won’t be excited. Eddie’s just out of rehab – both an alkie and meth-head and let’s not forget his artificial hip. David Lee Roth is now fighting male pattern baldness, his vocal range destroyed by years of pot smoking and excess drinking. Michael Anthony is gone – touring with Hagar and obviously on EVH’s shit list. Instead of getting a true, seasoned bass player, he’s recruiting his 15 year old son to fill the spot. Yeah, right – Wolfie (EVH’s son’s real name is Wolfgang) will go ahead and reserve his place at the Betty Ford Rehab Center because you just know that he’ll follow the road his dad has taken (a note to Valerie – you’re his damned mother – stop this insanity!).
So what have the players been up to this past decade? EVH is a drunk and meth-head. His wife Valerie left him to be a spokesperson for Jenny Craig. He’s fought tongue cancer, played some riffs for 3 porn flicks, had his hip replaced and had several thousands of $$$ worth of work done to replace his meth-rotted teeth.
David Lee Roth. Never married, lives with his sister and wears her wigs. Nice. Oh, he did a cover of VH songs with a bluegrass group last year. What a nice way to say “F*ck You” to EVH. We’ll be generous and forget his ill-fated gig to replace Howard Stern.
Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony: Both despise EVH with such a white-hot anger that if the anger could be converted to energy, the USA would be energy independent for years. The have formed a band called “The Other Half” and play Hagar-era Van Halen songs and a lot of Sammy’s early stuff. At least they don’t seem to be brain-damaged. They were also the only two members of VH to show up at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Alex van Halen: Who cares about Alex? A mediocre drummer whose meal ticket was/is Van Halen. Without Van Halen, he would be parking cars at some trendy L.A. eatery.
Sorry, but I think that rather than paying big bucks for a ticket, I’ll just make a betting pool of just how long that they’ll last. Will EVH fire DLR or will DLR get pissy that he can’t sing some of his “Eat ‘Em and Smile” crap?
Of course I have EVH in my 2008 death pool. The guy will just self-destruct like an old “Mission Impossible” tape.
This is Ralphie, that’s my opinion and it should be yours. It probably already is!

I was actually a little bit excited about the concert news, until reading this blog.
Now, after hearing what really amounts to the dirt/truth- I’ll take a pass.
It is all quite sad, isn’t it ?
And a little insulting to the fans the way Van Halen or Eddie is treating them.He seemed like such a fun guy in the 80’s.
I do not think I want to be called a fan anymore.

This tour is going to destoy the remaining legacy of van halen. I prefer Dave over Sammy, but how can they reproduce the magic of classic van halen. Dave has lost it, he`s a total mess, he lives with his sister, and wears stange hair weaves(Too much weed Dave). He is pale and fat, and the booze and heroin has destroyed his vocal range.Dave 10 years ago yes. Things are differentnow, let it go

Hope we never see a reunion tour with Dave. I`m a fan of both eras. Van halen will never be able to recreate the magic of The classic years. Dave is a total mess now days. He has never married and has no kids(because he`s busy smoking);and his lifestyle has destroyed his voacal ability, and appearance. He aged very quickly between 88/91 through alcohol and heroin. I think theres has been too much time wasted, and this reunion is a potential massacre

Don`t believe this reunion hype. What band tours without a new album/ This is going to be a few dates to re- establish the van halen name.

I always preferred the DLR days. There was always this sinister sacastic humor that ran through the music, Dave would make an off color remark and Eddie would answer it with a funky sqeal on his ax. It felt like forbidden laughter, like cracking up during Catholic mass.
I miss it–bring it on, boys!

How about a big BOO HOO to all those Van Hagar fans who are more interested in Dave’s hair than drinking their Clown leader’s tequila! Give it up already. It ain’t Classic Van Halen (technically since Bassplayer is not in this lineup) we’re aware of that fact, BUT it remains Van Halen…..it was Van Halen BEFORE Ronald McDonald entered the picture, and it’s VAN HALEN today. At least it will be “painless” not having to endure Red or Yellow Medical Scrubs as the Frontman’s wardrobe on stage……Lane Bryant doesn’t carry “Men’s PoundCake” Sizes.

I hope I can get this last one in… Alex Van Halen is the most underrated drummer in the history of rock. With all the light that’s on eddie and DLR or Sammy Alex kind of gets lost in the shuffle. His sizzling cymbal work along with his distinctive deep tom and snare drum sound is as much a signature sound as his brother’s guitar sound. Anyone who can follow around the greatest guitarist’s every whim seemlessly as he does must get his due. Give AVH the love he’s do.

You’re a dick. Here’s 20 bucks, go buy yourself a bl$wj#b. It’s quite obvious to all of us that you need one in the worst way.
With a name like Ralph Snart, you shouldn’t be throwin’ rocks at anybody. That’s it, isn’t it? You were traumatized in school because of constant wedgies and people making fun of your stupid F&#Kin name. You are a very, very bitter little man.
Ralph Snart | 7/11/2007, 7:38 pm EST
The only two decent members of Van Halen are Michael Anthony and Sammy Hagar. Why do I say that? Because they were the only members to make an appearance at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Allm members promised to attend, but as usual, they had some bullcrap excuse not to show. All of a sudden, two days prior to the show EVH decides that after years of substance abuse, he needed to go to rehab. That’s a cop out. Brother Alex didn’t attend because he had to hold Eddie’s hand while he was in rehab. Roth was promise anything, but he cooked up some lame-assed excuse not to attend. The Hall of Fame induction is considered a great honor by some performers and it’s because of the fans that the performers get the chance of receiving this honor. Only the huge egos of Van Halen and David Roth are larger than the honor.
Okay illiterate swine, unload your hatred on me for speaking the truth.

If you love your band you stick by them you don’t say mean and horrible things about someone suffering from cancer or drug addiction. We should pray for our heroes when they’re down and praise them when they have the resolve to come back and fight. Van Halen I love you forever Scars are badges of honor not cuts of sickness, I hope this poor chap finds love in his life…He so desperately needs it.

WOW! LOOK AT ALL THE LOSERS HERE TONIGHT!!! Here’s oppinion. For anyone who doesn’t get it…this is what it means to be back by popular demand. OK, bad picture. I feel like I’m 15 again. We’re all older with bad hair and bad teeth and some of us make bad wardrobe choices. Who cares. Eddie and Dave look great now. I think Al must have been soaking in formaldahyde the last couple of years and…so don’t look at the other guy in the picture. I don’t think it’s about money or to regain any status in the music world. Maybe these guys have finally gotten to that place again where they just want to play some kickin’ music for themselves and for anyone who misses great music.
Ed, if you really read these things, congratulations on taking a step in the right direction. I hope all is well with your health and your heart. You look happier than ever. Good luck with your sobriety.
Dave, I think I may be the only guy that misses the radio gig. You really impressed me with your knowledge, vocabulary, different and interresting topics and of course your sense of humor. I really felt good in the mornings. I’m sure you’re in great shape for this gig. Good luck
Alex, as a drummer myself, you and John Bonham have been my mentors. You are the only drummer I can think of who really has improved with age.
Wolfgang, sorry you have to put up with all the crap from all these sour people who have no vision of great possibilities. Good luck on the road and just be 16 out there.
To all you other sour f*@#s, Van Halen will always be remembered as Ed, Al, Mike and Dave. True rock and roll artists always f*@#-up a good thing. It’s part of the gig and we love them for it and want to be them for it.

How can he call himself a fan and spew out nothing but hatred and poisonous bile? I wonder if he views the entire world the way he views his so- called “favorite band” Imagine having this jerk for a friend, a husband or a father?

I won`t be attending these pathetic shows. Eds a disgrace, he`s addicted to crystal meth and alcohol, and has fired every group member(apart from his brother) on more than one occassion. His output as a recording artist is one new studio album in 12 years, He has alresdy releases 2 comilations in the last 6 years and with at least 1 more on the way!His playing over the last 10 years is laughable. He has no morals what so ever, and is planning future tours with Sammy Hagar to milk the fans for every dollar they have before he retires. The final straw came for me, was when he snubbed the RARHOF, because he could not face ex lover Michael.

Let’s get one thing correct to all who are complaining about Mike not being involved with the “reunion”, something the band has NEVER called it,but that is how it’s referred to in the press. The main reason the brothers are pissed at him is because he didn’t call them to offer his condolences when Ed and Al’s mom van halen died. That’s pretty cold and I don’t blame them for being a little pissed.Even Dave called them, as well as when their dad died in the mid/late 80’s when the Dave/VH mudslinging was at it’s worst. By the way no-one ever seems to complain about the Stones touring without their original bass player Bill Wyman or the Who calling themselves the Who when half the members are DEAD so what’s the big deal if VH do the same thing. Look, don’t get me wrong I will miss Mike and his vocals vocals but it’s not going to make me miss the likely only chance(maybe) to see Dave and Ed onstage together. Nobody talked about Mike til he was out Also Dave has never been fat by any stretch. I’ve seen him 6 times and he’s always in top form(and where did this heroin rumor start, pot and JD of course but if he was on heroin he wouldn’t in as great physical shape and he’d have od’d or died by now).By the way Dave was never the best technical singer, thats Robert Plant or Freddie Mercury, etc but damn he puts on a hell of a show. Who cares if he’s losing his hair(it’s been thinning since at least’83). I’m not going to see Dave’s hair, I’m going to see the band play music. I’d see them if he’d had his head shaved, WHO F***IN CARES. Nobody picks on Sting and he’s got as much or little hair as Dave Last but no least, lay off Ed. Everyone makes mistakes. Yes getting screwed with broken promises of supposed reunions sucks. But in a few short years he got a hip replacement, seperated, then divorced, then got cancer, had a couple failed tours/albums, and then his mom died, and everyone acts like he’s the worst human alive. Cut him some slack. He owes no one anything. Ed please stay sober for yourself and your kid and can’t wait to (maybe) se you this fall with Dave, Al and (preferebly Mike) Wolf.
Terri | 7/14/2007, 8:12 am EST
Dave looks so sexy now with the short blond hair
Mr Lee | 7/14/2007, 11:06 am EST
Top Jimmy,Dave started to loose his hair in 88(skyscraper) not around the early 80`s. He must wear a hair piece, because he would be bald after 20 years, but so what. He is in fine physical shape and looks awsome. I agree with you about Mike, of course he will be missed, but Bill wyman`s departure was barely publicised, and the stones brought in a unknown bass player, for the highest grossing tour of all time(voodoo lounge) Sometimes new blood in the rytham section can work wonders. I Believe that Ed and Dave are getting along better because they understand that this is their last chance to re-establish themselves(they screwed up big time in 1996/2000 $$$)as a major band in rock. I believe now, we will see tours and a couple of aalbums over the next 5 years. They`ve wasted 10 years, think where they should have been now,if they reunited in 1996

There will still be no real Van Halen reunion.
Van Halen Took with wolrd by storm because they had the total package.
A Great Guitar player an excellent front man, KILLER backing by a HIGHLY underated drummer and a bass player that could sing so well that he has actually done sessions as a backing vocalist for several recording artists.
Anyone that thinks that the current line up is a real reunion (Regaurdless of how well wolf plays bass…I hope he is GREAT) Is sadly kidding themselves.
Comparing the fact that Bill Wyman quit the stones with the fact that VanHalen is going to tour without Michael is clearly just looking at Michaaels talant as a Bassist. Lets see what happens with that Great Big Ole Gaping Hole in the Backing Vocals goes on tour this fall.
Go back to Vanhalen and Vanhalen2 and imagine those without the trademarke KICK ASS backing vocals.
Sarah | 7/15/2007, 9:06 am EST
Bring back Sam, Dave`s said to be a herion addict, we don`t need Dave to screw the van halen legacy up, any more than it is at present. Dave voice has been destroyed by years of substance abuse, and wearing those jumps suits and long blond receding wigs, will destroy the bands credability with young rock fans!

So, VH was set to begin a tour in September…July is slipping by fast, still nothing definite. I suspect EVH, AVH, DLR and Wolfie are a dysfunctional bunch that just can’t pull it off. Let’s all face it, the Van Halen we all grew up loving (be it the ‘77-’84 version or the ‘85-’96 version or both) is dead. We can all still enjoy for what it is: Great Kick-Ass party rock that makes us all feel like it’s summer and we’re 18 again. Eddie is still one of the greatest guitarists to walk the earth, but the collective energy that made their albums and live shows is gone and can never be recaptured. Becuase unlike the music that will last forever, the people who make it have to get old. And let’s face it friends, there’s nothing more pathetic than a 50yr old jumping around onstage trying to pretend that it’s still 1984. My advice for the fans is to treasure the great music that they gave us from ‘77 – ‘96. But unless you actually like feeling let down, disappointed and ripped-off, stay away from this and any future VH reunion. Just let it go, cause man it’s gone……….

The magic will always be there, cause Dave and Ed are icons of rock, Dave`s cool, he`s 52 years old and listens to bands like the chemical brothers and hip hop. Bring on a new album! If the stones are recording new albums, and their over 10 years van halen`s senior, theres plenty of life left in them. The tour will surprise a lot of people.Check out Dave`s recent stage performances and new image, he`s awsome. They have not toured together for over 23 years, but did record many songs together in 96 and 2000/2001
Wolfie will add some yothful energy into the music

I believe this rumour because she looks like a lesbian.(you tube 1999 slam dunk, she is kissed by Dave during a performance). Dave has never married, and has no kids. Mike is past it, he looks like a welfare scrounger. He`s let himself go, Wolfie`s playing has an edge over MA`s. Mike`s vocal range has deteriated through substance abuse. Mike`s haircut makes him look like a hill billie and ruins the group photos, with Ed and Dave looking so hot

SCARY….we all know Dave has lost his voice….good luck selling this one…I really feel sorry for people who actually think Dave the egomaniac can pull it off by himself without Michael to back him up.Eddie should try to see if Sammy and Dave would both do sets that way we would all be happy.

Theres some bootlegs of wolfy on bass going around. The kid is unbelievable!! Don’t worry about his backing vocals either, they are there.Dave is as good as ever,If they only plan on playing 40 or so shows, should be no problems ,just some great music…maybe even some new tunes. We”ll find out early next week, can’t wait!!!
Thunderfoot | 7/24/2007, 9:36 pm EST
Sorry, I need a new picture from these guys. I wanna hear some new tunes and I wanna feel 18 again. I hope there’s a new record in the wings. Did I just say RECORD???
C’mon guys, give us a break already!!! Loooong overdue. I’m going to bed…see ya in the morning.

Looks ike everyone else went to bed too. I’m glad to see some positive feedback from people for a change.
Kay | 7/25/2007, 3:36 pm EST
Do you guys think the original members of van halen are really up for touring?
1 David weave Roth is nothing like he was 20 years back. He is fat, bloated and wrinkled like a prune, he wears long, blond hair extentions that are platinum. He has thin hair on top, with a bald patch at the back, and long puffed out hair down the back and sides. What a mess. He has never married, has no kids and lives with his lesbian sister. He has lost his voice through chain smoking crack and alcohol abuse, and only performs 40 minute sets now.
Eddie is a total mess, he is addicted to crystal meth, porn and alcohol, his playing has been a shadow of its former self since 1996! His teeth are rotten and his hair is limp thin and going grey. He is so thin he resembles an aids patient.During a january performmance Wolfie had to keep reminding Ed of the riffs, and even then could not produce the classic riffs.
Lets not waste our hard earned cash on these low lifes!
Lois | 7/25/2007, 3:43 pm EST
Hey,last time I saw Roth he had a haircut like a grandad for his radio show. He had brown hair combed over from one side of his head to another, with a bald patch at the back (nice). I don`t care what they look like Dave is 59 now and Ed is a simlar age, so what as long as they kick ass on stage!
p.s Ed, get those rotten teeth fixed!
chris | 7/25/2007, 6:06 pm EST
man this group treats there fans like shit what ever happned to the days where rock stars gave there fans cadilacs aka the king aka elvis
Thunderfoot | 7/25/2007, 9:10 pm EST
OK. Sorry. To the last 3 goons who know nothing about Van Halen…since when is it a band’s responsibility to buy their fans Cadillacs? Dave and Ed are not 59 yet. Dave is not fat he is a black belt in one of the Martial Arts. Ed has been through rehab and has gained some weight, gotten a haircut, had his teeth fixed and probably playing better than he has in years. As far as Dave living with his sister…where do you live? He’s never been married…good for him!!! Alcohol and pot, yes. Chain smoking crack? I don’t believe I’ve ever heard that phrase.
Kay and Lois, have you ever really heard Van Halen or are you still listening to Hannah Montana and the rest of the Disney crowd? Chris, lay off the texting. How about some capital letters and some punctuation. Stop listening to your dad talk about the good old days when rock and roll was young and risque!

This tour is going to make van halen the laughing stock. The Sammy fans are planning to attend the shows to mess them up, theres a bounty on Dave`s wig, their planning to whip it off him at some point, and pass it through the crowd all over the stadium. The Sammy fans are planning to square uo to Dave`s fans after the show!
joel lee roth | 7/26/2007, 3:34 pm EST
Ben, in all fairness to you and your trailer park community, a fight of Dave fans against you Hammy fans is really unfair. First of all you and your 4 friends may be outnumbered and second if your physical appearance matches Hammy’s you may need to join a gym to give yourself a chance. The only thing true Van Halen fans will laugh at is your local American Legion Hall marquee that reads: Hammy Hagar and Michael Anthony tonight…Lots of tickets still available.

Hey, Chris,
So you mean when Elvis took the stage wasted every night in Vegas and forgot the words to his own songs he was respecting his fans? I guess Eddie, and especially Dave, are very respectful to their fans. I’m sure Dave has given plenty of fans his pink cadillac…if ya know what I mean, there, Chris!
Thunderfoot | 7/26/2007, 10:06 pm EST
Hey, Chris,
Speaking of respect, or the lack there of, you have called me an asshole and made fun of my name. Also, being the big VH fan that you are, there is a space between the VAN and the HALEN and it is a proper name so the V and the H should be capitalized. That shows a lack of respect on your part.
For anyone reading along with Chris and myself, I’m having a blast doing this!
chris | 7/26/2007, 10:22 pm EST
im having quite the time also yea im sure dave has but oh eds forgot a few notes cause of the oh tonic himself and dave has taken the shit onstage with him but thats rock and roll dude elvis always gave it up for the fans i wish this fuckin band would
Thunderfoot | 7/26/2007, 10:23 pm EST
Hey, Ben,
…and then, one time, at band camp…
Are you for real??? I think even Sammy’s fans are too grown up for that. And,pssst, Dave doesn’t wear a wig any more. KEEP UP!
chris | 7/26/2007, 10:26 pm EST
plus you can dog elvis all you want but it doesnt get much bigger than him the diamond one would tell ya that
Thunderfoot | 7/26/2007, 11:07 pm EST
You’re a female, aren’t you? You’re right about Elvis. I’ll make sure to request Hound Dog at the next sock hop! I must agree with your Def Leppard(also capitalized) comment. But this is about Van Halen.
Where’s SS when I need him?
Hey listen, it’s way passed my bedtime and my diaper is wet. Mommy didn’t warm my baba and my rash is starting to bother me.
Ben | 7/27/2007, 1:13 pm EST
Red Rockers army are out to avenge David Gay Roth and Van Halen for the following reasons.
1 Dave did his best to destroy Sam`s performances on the Sam and Dave tour.(turning up late to every show he was not headlining, so the crowd would turn their backs on Sam`s performance ect,)
2 Roth snubbing offer from Sam to perform together at hall of fame!
3. Dave taking Sam`s place again in Van halen
Off with his wig,I`m going to film these clowns on tour.
Anouska | 7/27/2007, 1:56 pm EST
Thunderfoot. What do you mean,Dave no longer wears a wig. Why would he wear one in the first place if he did not need to wear one now? Or,do you mean Dave is going on tour bald now.
ral | 7/27/2007, 6:43 pm EST
enough with the debate over whos better DLR or Hagar. We all know that the music in the DLR days buries anything Van Hagar ever did. Plus I have nothing against Sammy but he’s boring and not cool, DLR is both entertaining and cool. End of story.
Sam | 7/28/2007, 11:59 am EST
Davd lee Roth. Get rid of that long blond wig that you staple to your head. Loose the jump suits, work off the flab, and have some vocal coaching.
Ed, kick the crystal meth, porn and alchol abuse. Play like you did in your twenties, when you were hugry for sucess, get some new teeth
I won`t be letting the current scum screw me for every dollar I have! You think you guys are going to make easy cash with your farewell tour?
New Hampshire's VH-FAN | 7/28/2007, 12:03 pm EST
hey ral, mean street and drop dead legs and unchained and dirty movies buries right now or feeling or dreams or what love can do or amsterdam or in and out or seventh seal or top of the world? I kinda like them all–including VH3–as any true VH fan does. and what are you smoking? did you bring enough for everyone?
Out.
Mike | 7/31/2007, 1:22 am EST
Why get so hung up on Dave or Sammy and just enjoy their unique individual styles, that they brought to a very amazing gruop at different times and places in our lives. The wife loves Sammy and I think he’s grounded as a star where you can party with him any place you meet. I enjoy Dave’s charisma and the wife think he brings the needed hollywood circus show needed to maintain the great VH reputation that he along with the whole crew, including Sammy, perpetuated for all these years. Go see VH with the Roth man and Sammy with the Michael man. We intend on taking our little guy to both. Rock on. MCHooli

Is Dave gonna come out, as a male wig wearer?
Brett | 7/31/2007, 1:14 pm EST
These fairwell concerts are going to make Van Halen the laughing stock. Dave is washed up now, if you see his concerts on you tube, from 1999 to 2003 he looks a mess. H wears a long, thin, blonde wig, and is bloated up like a balloon.
Eddie is just as bad, he is addicted to alcohol and crystal meth, his playing is unrecognisible from even 10 years ago!
Sarah | 8/1/2007, 1:05 pm EST
The problem with the reunion now is, their washed all washed up! Dave is fat, wrinkled and wears a long, blond wig for his live shows.
The public know Dave is gay now. He`s never married!
Has no kids!
Lives with his lesbian sister!
Dave`s lost his vocal range through years of booze and heroin use.
Ed is a mess, he is addicted to alcohol and crystal meth, his playing was disgraceful on the last tour, he has rotten teeth and long thin greying hair! He is so lazy, he has only produced one studio album in 12 years. he spends his days erm, erm, erm, cooking!
Top Gringo | 8/3/2007, 3:31 am EST
Ed and Al and, yes–even Dave–are all fairly healthy, and Wolfie is well into his 16th year. (try keeping up to date, erm, erm, erm flame-smokers.)
When/If this tour finally happens, I hope to be there, holding up both hands in the familiar VH thumb-finger-pinkie salute!!
VH Rules!!!

Hey,red rocker revolution! What? All three of you are going to do what? Cry real loud and sing”Why Can’t this Be Love?” or “Dreams”…You guys keep on raining DLR Army will keep on being the parade! You fucking knobjob?
Bob | 8/3/2007, 6:26 pm EST
Joel Coy–Just remember there are other Red Rocker fans like me who agree with Sammy’s comments made at the RRHOF, go ahead with a DLR reunion, a lot of fans want to see it happen. Then maybe “if we all grow up”, all of them can tour. Both guys made huge and very different contributions to VH, and it would be awesome to cap it with a Best of Both Worlds Tour. Some would say I’m crazy, but I say why the hell not? Just get the egos out of the way and do it. Big bucks as well. Like DLR said last year about past differences with EVH and AVH, “just let it go like water under a bridge, that’s show biz…” or words to that effect.

Red Rocker`s Revolution are going a put an end to Dave`s Van Halen. You think Dave and Van halen are going to go out together?
Dave has lost his voive over the years through heroin abuse!
He lives with his butch, lesbian sister!

Has no children!
Wears pooly fitted, long blond wigs, or grandad style, hair comb overs!

Ed has agreed to a few farewell concerts with David Lee Roth because he wants closure on the Dave issue! What band tours without a new studio album! Dave is a wreck. He has no record contract, wears odd wigs and is fat. The long term plans are with Sammy! Yes there will be new albums, DVDs and tours with Sam over the next 5 years.

well i am going to welcome the tour for sure seen them at the u.s festival in 1983 and they kicked asswas a long time ago but i am sure they will recapture the magic they once had as a band also i saw david lee last yr in detroit and let me tell you he was warming up for the tour i said it then he put on a very good show to say the least he could still swing that microphone like he did back in the day and did the van halen tunes to the tee so lookout the boys are back and prepared to rock the nation that is if eddie does not backout again but he want’s his son up there to get the experience rocking for his own career no better place to start then with van halen and his dad peace out ev 1
Matt | 8/8/2007, 12:06 pm EST
I`m a member of the Red Rocker`s Revolution. We want Sam to finish his career with Van Halen. Sam wants to go out on a high, and wants a Van Halen reunion as much as anybody else. We will fight for Sammy. Ed is only using Roth for closure on the affair. Ed and Sam are on speaking terms, and a tour with both Sam and Roth is being discussed. There will never be any new material with Roth. Ed and Sam are negotiating, towards a new album/tour at the moment. The only interest in Roth is for nostalgia, for a farewell tour, and possibly a tour with both singers in the future

Where’s Michael Anthony that hairy little bassist is needed in the muscle tops he wore in the Lee Roth golden days long before the band was destroyed by Hagar, to be exactly like the rest of the 80s crap.

Hang Em' High | 8/9/2007, 9:59 am EST
The whole Roth/Hagar debate will probably never end. I’ve always been a Roth/VH fan but there’s a few tunes that Sammy & VH did that I like. Some of Sammy’s solo stuff was good. Both singer’s voices are very different as well as the music there singing to. For me, the contrasting style of Sammy’s voice could never compare to Dave’s. Then again, not too many rock bands can pull off a lead singer change without a glitch or two. AC/DC is one of the few that comes to mind.
Curly | 8/9/2007, 4:48 pm EST
I agree a best of both worlds with Dave and Sammy would be great. While Hagar does his songs I can go piss and get another beer and be back in time for the real Van Halen!
Hagar had some good solo stuff but he turned Van Halen from the worlds greatest rock band into the worlds greatest wedding band.
The only reason they didn’t call themselves Journey when Sammy took over was because the name was taken. Come on, the first song they released with Sammy “Why can’t this be love” is the lamest song ever made!

I saw David Lee Roth about 4 years ago in concert and he and his band sounded great. |He didn’t look fat,and if you’re in your late forties(at the time) who gives a sh t what your hair looks like as long as you put ona good show? Which he did. By the way, I actually like Sammy too, but the original VH stuff was better. It would be funny to see Red rocker “army men” supposedly kicking Daves fans asses. I’m picturing a few scrawny little punks doing not much of anything. Thanks

I agree Curly, Some of the other songs on that album were pretty good. But if you prefer the older stuff like I do, everything else just doesn’t measure up. I remember listening to the radio w/my friends (damn I’m old) waiting for the new VH song. It was a really big deal. Then it aired & we looked at each other like WTF!!!
Bob | 8/10/2007, 12:02 pm EST
For this tour to be a real success…
–DLR’s vocals will have to be better than ever, considering MA is not there to help out.
–EVH will have to stay sober.
It’s uphill. Let’s see if they can do it. Good luck. It’s either gonna be a blockbuster or a meltdown. No middle ground.
Susan | 8/10/2007, 12:52 pm EST
Saw Roth on MTV news today. He`s gone back to the long blond wig, he was wearing a ponytail under his cap.
Bob | 8/10/2007, 6:01 pm EST
Curly,
If you want to bash “Why Can’t This Be Love” then what about even gayer tunes like DLR’s “Just a Giggolo” and “California Girls”… Sammy didn’t ruin anything, he just saved VH from oblivion when DLR left, that’s all. Dave should be thankful he has something to come back to.
Thunderfoot | 8/12/2007, 11:45 pm EST
Honestly I’m a bit nervous for the band. Dave’s schtick is dated and so is the lyric content if you’re 40 or 50ish. I’m hoping for a fresh new spin on some great old music. And let’s face it, the stuff is now old. I liked Sammy with VH only. I will say I had to view them as a whole other band and not VH. I’m almost 40 and I just think it’s cool that one of my favorite bands is comming around one more time. As for the Red Rocker army, I’m picturing Waldo-type 40 year olds wearing big yellow clown wigs and red jump suits. By the way, the only “Army” worth admitting you belonged to would be the original KISS ARMY! I think Eddie would agree!

Eddie I know might not read this shit. But, for a real fan from the HOOD! Thats right the HOOD!! Talk to Mike. If he really did dis your mother I understand. Big Bad Bill isn’t the greatest but it is comical. How about- Where have all the good times gone, Hang Em’ High, Cathedral, Secrets, Intruder, Pretty Woman, Little Guitars (intro) & Little Guitars,& The Full Bug. WTF how low can that be to erase his name and face. Sounds like a law suite to me. I can under Eddy wanting his son on stage with him but come on. Where’s your loyalty to your friend, band member, the most “bad ass bass player” that ever was, and with backup vocals to boot. Michael you will be mist and not forgotten.

How sweet to be able to say “VAN HALEN IS PUTTING ON THE BEST %*&$ CONCERT EVER RIGHT NOW!!
I honestly hope that all you below with your ‘inside’ knowledge of all things VH doubting Dave’s voice, Eddie’s sobriety and Wolfie’s talent have no tickets to the best reviewed concert this year! But, most likely, you’ve got your tail between your legs on the way to the show!! HA! HA! HA!
And those below that think EVH is going to end his career with SH as lead singer has another ‘bam’ coming! It might not be Dave but it isn’t going to be Sammy! NOT IN A GAZILLION YEARS ! Yeah, I like the SH stuff when I was in the ‘love’stage for about a year and that was it, I wan’t Dave back and here he is!!! TRUE Van Halen fans have to love this tour! I’m seeing them 4th row in the ramp on Nov 1 in DC. It will be the best show ever and I will soak up ever frickin’ second. Michael Anthony? Of all the times I saw them before, I don’t think my eyes laid on his figure more than twice. He’s ok, he’s not a major player in this game. Get over it. He’s made millions doing what MANY bass players could have done in his shoes. Was it right to remove him from credits for their years together? You’ll never know the details of this so stop whining about it. He wanted to tour with Sammy, there’s a price to pay. He didn’t believe in another VH tour, just like most of you didn’t believe. HA! HA! HA! Faith will always get you through!!! I can’t wait to turn my 11 year old son onto them and it’s so sweet that he’ll have such a great view of the most talented guitar player to ever take the stage. I will be passing the torch and thank you, thank you, thank you Eddie for being the brains behind all that is VH and letting this happen! I LOVE IT
))))

This will be the best show this fall if it kicks off. Van Hager always sucked. Sammy should have stayed solo.
