Do the White Stripes ever fail to meet everybody’s wildest expectations?

Best rock band in the world currently (except maybe u2 and the stones, obviously…but they come mighty close!), wish i could have been on that bus.

They are so adorable, too. Is anybody cuter than that couple there?

Regarding ‘The White Stripes’: I’ve never seen a band create such polarized reactions on these boards (although to be fair, the negatives are usually grammatically poor cheap-shots). But let the haters hate. Everyone who truly counts know that the Stripes kick ass.

The Manson/Cooper crack marks the first time a news roundup made me grin.

the outfits are a cheap joke but the new CD is decent,IMO.

Always funny when the white stripes are said to be worse than emo. what a polarizing band. They are certainly the best rock band that has hit the mainstream in the past 7 years. Sorry linkin park doesn’t count. This band elicits so much hatred but it usually goes away when they listen to a few albums. Reserve your hate for manufactured bands.

Jimmy Page, Bob Dylan, Billy Gibbons, Loretta Lynn, Lou Reed and others have all publicly stated to love this band. Are you saying they are wrong?

Take a minute to listen to them before you inexplicably bash them.

The White Stripes are what I call an alternative to so called alternative rock. There’s quite a diversity in their current album and the songs are full of hooks. This album should be considered for a grammy next year.

“Unchained Melody” was actually recorded by Al Hibbler and several others back in the fifties, a decade before the Righteous Brothers recorded it. There are many people who think that the Righteous Brothers were the first to do it, and some even think it was written specifically for the movie Ghost.

The White Stripes are SH!TE.

White Stripes rock well and Meg is hot, Stace. Maybe a fatty by Nicole Ritchie standards, but that skinny sure ain’t hot.

The Stripes have gotta be one of the best bands around, there new album may not be the best but they still Rock!!
