I’m very proud to say I own 21 of the 40 Essential Lps of 1967 in either/both their Vinyl or Cd editions, plus various “45’s” culled from the Lps that were hits. I prefer the Beach Boys, Rolling Stones, Doors, Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, Hollies, Kinks, Van Morrison, Moody Blues & the vocally brilliant late Tim Buckley over the Beatles though.

I know it barely made it in at the end of 67, but it was put out before the end of the year, and I can’t believe the list did not include the first Traffic Album, Mr. Fantasy. It belonged.
I would also have put in Layers of the Onion by the Incredible String Band, but I know that is more obscure.
