Happily you are very unlikely to ever hear it, but there’s a Dinosaur Jr song, the last track on the album “Bug” called Don’t. And it just has J Mascis screaming “WHYYYYYY DON’T YOU LIIIIIIIIIIKE MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE?????!!!” in a voice that sounds like he’s being stabbed, over and over again. It’s absolutely unlistenable.

stereotypes, stereotypes, stereotypes. some people are stuck to one genre and have no respect for others. and even as a fan, brokencyde can get annoying but eventually you’d get used to it. t-pain can sing and is creative as with others. anyway, stereotyped people make up these thinngs.

Coldplay’s “Fix You”-man it stinks!

In my opinion, “barbie girl” should be first. Just mention it to my friends and they all start moaning.

ting-tings “that’s not my name” is by far the most annoying song i’ve ever heard. ever.

After years of listening to tens of thousands of songs from every genre imaginable, I have found a lot of good stuff all across the board, and a lot of stuff that I didn’t particularly like. But I have never found anything that I actually hated. Sure, there are plenty of novelty songs that would become pretty irritating after being played 20 times, but any song will become annoying after enough time, as evidenced by Sweet Home Alabama: a great song that simply became overplayed.

Look, you might want to challenge me and say that there is some song that no one in their right mind could ever possibly like. But I will defend it, whether it be emo, gothic metal, j-pop, T-Pain, SOAD, or even Rachmaninoff, if you are stupid enough to attack him. Trust me, if you’ve heard a song, then I’ve heard that same song or something similar, and it isn’t that bad.

It’s not really fair to pick on rap, it’s not really music.

I’m okay with Nickelback and Photograph is annoying, and so is that “I’m going home” song by Daughtry for the same reason. Yeah, we get it, life sucks now you wish you were still young etc.

As far as some others that need to be here…

Vertigo – U2 Like the condition vertigo, this song makes me throw up. Half the song is the word ‘yeah’.

Anything Coldplay, again not really music and a great cure for insomnia.

Poke Her Face by Lady Blah Blah, terrible, repetitive, Gwen Stefani was a writer, etc.

Anything Cyrus, Achy Breaky Heart should be on this list and anything by the toothy daughter could be made by cats in heat.

And to finish:
Know Your Enemy – Green Day, simplistic, repetitive and activist simply because it’s popular to be activist.

No list would be complete without Chuck Berry’s My Ding-a-Ling

There are plenty that I find annoying, but there are 4 that have not seen on this page that I would like to mention.
Two of them are by the same artist, KT Tunstall. One’s called “Black horse and the Cherry tree” and the other is “Suddenly I see”. I hear both of these damn songs at least once a day and each time I hear them I begin to hate them more and more. Boring, dull, and overrated are good words to describe them both.
Third is “Hate Me” by some band named Blue Ocotber, this is another one that I never liked to begin with but still hear it all the time and I hate it more and more.
And finally, “Kernkraft 400″ by Zombie Nation. If you’ve never been to a sporting event since 1999, you probably don’t know about it. This song just in general almost makes me want to not attend a game, because I know at some point it will get played and the fans will jump up and down screaming “Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh”.

Awww semisonic needs off this list in the worst kind of way. James blunt, meatloaf and crash test dummies dont really deserve top 20. They might be annoying but not the most annoying radio hits out there.

The most annoying song so far for 2009 IMO is “I know you want me” by Pitbull. How anyone can stand listening to that drivel is beyond me.

However I agree with those who are mentioning “Hollaback Girl”. That to me is the worst AND most annoying song ever created. And while I’m at it I’ll add her equally annoying “Sweet Escape” song to.

And while it’s not my favorite, the James Blunt song really isn’t that bad.
