Eddie Vedder Sings For Sean Penn, PJ Harvey Finishes LP, T.I. Hypes New Flick

7/2/07, 2:41 pm EST

eddie vedder

  • Eddie Vedder’s love for Sean Penn films has become a full-on crush. The Pearl Jam frontman will release an entire album of solo compositions for Into the Wild, a new film directed by Penn. Vedder has previously performed songs for Penn vehicles Dead Man Walking (”Long Road”) and I Am Sam (The Beatles’ “You’ve Got to Hide Your Love Away”). He’ll also have a small role in the film, Vedder’s first since playing the drummer of Matt Dillon’s band, Citizen Dick, in Cameron Crowe’s 1992 film Singles.
  • Radiohead is rumored to be headlining Norway’s Hove Festival in 2008. We’re assuming this will be in support of their new album, which is reportedly “done.”

“Eddie Vedder’s love for Sean Penn films has become a full-on crush.”

Yeah, isn’t love stronger than a “full-on crush”? What a Kreppy sentence that was.

First the tour is on—then it’s cancelled—–off & on—-on & off. C’mon dudes! Make up your minds!!! Stop flip floppin’ & wally wafflin’! SAY WHAT YOU MEAN OR MEAN WHAT YOU SAY!!!!

I’ll believe a Van Halen reunion when I see one. I’ll not waste my time getting all pumped up and excited untill then. By they way, with out Mike on bass it ain’t a true Van Halen reunion. That would be just as silly as me putting my 5 year old son on bass when my old band got together. Stupid right?

American Gangster better be good, considering Denzel was paid twice for it - once with Ridley Scott and once when it was titled Tru Blu back in 2004.

Normally I’d laugh off such nonsense as T.I.’s quote, especially coming from soneone who wears that ridiculous tiny ski cap, but in this case he may be on to something. I saw a trailer for American Gangster, and it looks fantastic.

if you’re going to have an obligatory van halen rumor, why not couple that with a gun n’ roses/ axl rose rumor?
