Lily Allen Tells Us All To F*#ck Off, Remember Axl Rose’s Old Band Hollywood Rose? Get Your Feet Into Officially Punk Converse

  • Lily Allen wants us to “fuck off.” By us, we mean the collective “us,” like UsWeekly, Rolling Stone, the Daily News… the entire media machine in general. Allen yesterday posted on MySpace, the pulpit of our times, to lash out at all the media outlets that are over-critical of her life and take her blog rants out of context.
  • Check out this video of Axl Rose performing with his pre-GNR band Hollywood Rose. It’s nice to reflect upon a time before Axl’s twelve year studio tan and dreadlocks.
  • We’re totally buying a pair of these Ramones-themed Converse. Just remember: Converse always run a size larger.

Swear I don’t understand the fuss about Axl. I was at the prime age when Appetite came out (I even own one of the rare “robot” vinyl copies). Made one classic, a pair of overwrought follow-ups, a mish mash of covers, then all these years of … nothing. Even the leaked songs are dull. Why all the fuss? Not casting judgement, I just grasp it. Geez could his voice BE any more grating in those early clips??
