WHAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY:
Dr. Steve Renteria, another LA Sheriff’s Dept. criminologist, treated the jury to a four-hour gorefest! The featured topic of conversation was the blood splatter resulting from the gunshot that killed Lana Clarkson. Renteria testified that some of the blood splatter was smeared, indicating the body was either tampered with, or that Spector was close to Clarkson when she was shot.
IS THIS GOOD OR BAD FOR SPECTOR:
Bad. The defense’s reaction was to call for a mistrial, which hinted of desperation. The judge did not grant their request.
