And yes, The Black Parade is a heavily classic rock influence EMO ALBUM. Not to say I didn’t enjoy it, but don’t try to hide what it is. (And by the way, Gerard Way sucks as a live singer…he doesn’t go for the high notes on songs like “Welcome to the Black Parade”)

And yes, “The Black Parade” is an incredibly emo album, MCR an incredibly emo band, but the album is heavily influenced by classic rock.

Ummmm TAI and CS emo? Not? How about pop rock? or dance rock? Emo? Um NO!!! And while we’re at it can we just make that “genre” go away. Post hardcore emo is just about out the door with only a few really good bands left doing it. And definitely not ones that this magazine or it’s readers care about. Face it RS you only cater to “old school” rock or current bands that are trying to resurrect it, rap and hip & hop. What you will write about the current rock scene is pitiful. Where were you at Bamboozle? Yeah that’s what I thought.

Oh and to the person who commented on WTTBP, I so hope you were being sarcastic. MCR is not emo and the album (especially live) is gut wrenching, amazing rock & roll.
