The Phil Spector Trial: We Watch Court TV So You Don’t Have To

WHAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY? Medical examiner Dr. David Pena took the stand for a fourth and final day. Last week, he appeared to have the defense rattled with his convincing case that Lana Clarkson’s death was a homicide rather than an intentional suicide; now the defense is arguing that it could have been an accidental suicide. We also learned that Clarkson was a Grateful Dead fan who liked to quote Jerry Garcia in e-mails.

IS THIS GOOD OR BAD FOR SPECTOR? Pena’s entire testimony has been bad for Spector.

HAIR AND WARDROBE WATCH: Spector sported a large-collared orange red shirt under a pinstriped suit jacket.

We don’t get the Court TV channel up here (Winnipeg) so I am not up to date on the Spector trial. And for some reason it hasn’t received much if any press coverage. I would think that the logical defense would be an in sanity defense. considering his bizarre behaviour over these many decades it seems logical. Was there a psychological evaluation?
